Half day left...

"WHAT??!! It couldn't be that bad??!"
Aubrey immediately felt guilt and regret pouring into her body.

"Sorry! Don't take it wrong, he's just visiting. His grandma felt really unwell for the past few days and today she had to go to the hospital."

"Oh thank goodness. I mean, I still feel bad for him and his grandma. We'll probably get back here soon, we really want to reunite our friend group."

"Yes, feel free to come any time! I'm really glad that Basil still has some friends, even when he had his grandma, he still was looking lonely."

After the goodbyes with Polly the group had to think about their next move.

"HEY! LET'S GO TO THE TREEHOUSE!! WE HAVEN'T BEEN HERE IN A WHILE!"

Everyone agreed, tho Sunny was a bit hesitant but everyone else just voted him over.

Kel slowed down a bit to get to Sunny.

"Hey, is something wrong? I know that the treehouse is where also... But you know, I'm for you, yes, we all are there for you! So if you ever feel bad again you can talk to us." Kel gave Sunny a thumbs up and the other boy just shook his head. I don't know why he's even trying to get me better. And they still don't know The Truth.

After their arrival, Sunny looked at the tree stump. Something appeared at a moment, staring menacingly at Sunny and disappeared, but not entirely.

"GOD I HAVEN'T SEEN THIS PLACE IN YEARS! AND IT STILL LOOKS THE SAME!! EVEN OUR CARDS ARE STILL HERE!!!"
Kel was just being himself, running all around the place, managing to find thousands of old things.
Sunny opened an old drawer. There was a photo inside. *Don't forget, it's in the toybox* said the back, with a key taped onto it. He quickly shoved it in his pocket that nobody would get suspicious or curious.

Suddenly Aubrey ran out, and kneeled by the tree stump, crying.
"You know... after what happened, I still tried to talk with Basil and be friends. But I saw that he scribbled ALL THE PHOTOS IN THE ALBUM!! I felt so angry and I couldn't forgive him and... bullied him, called an freak and some things like that... And still after years... After you guys came in... I knew that Basil was not the one to be fully blamed on my anger... And I have to forgive myself. But it's still hard."

"Hey, don't worry Aubrey. Everybody makes mistakes small or big. It's a part of being human. Even if you wouldn't forgive yourself, we forgive you, right guys? The photos haven't cleaned at their own!"

Sunny and Kel nodded, looking really honest. Then they all pulled in a big group hug.

"I really don't deserve friends like you guys, heh"

"Shhhh, just let us happen! She would be so happy to see us."

"Yeah." Aubrey smiled and looked at the sky.

Sunny felt like tearing up, but tried to keep himself in one piece, not to worry Kel or his friends.

"Since we got over it, we could go back to Basil's house! I'm sure he would be back already, the sun is setting."

They got back, Polly again greeting them.

"Oh you're just in time. Basil has just come back and he wouldn't say a word to me, just locked himself in his room."

They all got upstairs, knocking on Basil's door.

"Hey, Basil, it's me, Aubrey. I am really sorry of what happened to you in past three days... and past four years. Yes, I'm really sorry. It's okay if you don't forgive me, I understand it."

"Hey there, it's Kel! It's Sunny's last day here and we just really want to reunite with whole group... And we want to make sure you are okay!"

"Hey, it's Hero. I'm really sorry about your grandma. We all want you to be okay and we are here for you. We're really worried, as well as Polly."

"..."
Sunny just couldn't say a word, he really wanted Basil to be okay, but was also terrified of the idea to meet Basil again.

Not a single noise came from Basil's room.

"Man, why it's all so difficult! Hey Polly, can we stay over night? We're really worried."
Hero just spoke for everyone.

"Of course you all can! I know that you probably have more influence on Basil than me."

"AWESOME! I CALL THE COUCH!"

"HEY! NO FAIR!"

"I CALLED IT FIRST!"
Kel grinned and ran as fast as possible  and jumped on the couch.

Aubrey ran after him and somehow has managed to throw him down. Kel looked pissed but accepted it, now laying on the floor.

Everyone got ready to sleep.

"Hey Sunny... I know that you're not going to disappear but please remember... We will always be friends."

"Aww Hero is such a softie, just like you Aubrey!"

"WHAT DID YOU SAY??"
Aubrey raised her hand, ready to hit him in the head.

Sunny looked at the scene, alarmed.

"Nothing, ⁿᵒᵗʰᶦⁿᵍ"

"Haha, it's really nice to hang out with you all again... In college everyone is so busy, and there is so much studies, nobody cares for making friends..."

"We're always here for you, Hero"

"Look who's a softie now!"

"hmph."

"But yeah, we will be there for eachother. Forever." Kel confirmed.

...

"Man, i'm getting kinda sleepy..."

Quiet noise of snoring was heard. Sunny felt weird comfort in the noise he made. It felt like home.

"Damn, how fast he can sleep! G'night, losers."

"Goodnight Aubrey, goodnight Sunny"

"...goodnight"
Sunny went to sleep really fast, feeling soothed by the Kel sleeping noise.

So basically that felt like writing OMORI from memory and adding some small details lmao
I promise the next chapter will get more exciting bc there will start MY story. Just kinda wanted to do a prologue to that with those little traits showing Kim x Aubrey and SunTan. I promise that I will get better at this.
