Sunny was sending prayers to whoever could save Kel. He held hard on Omori's and Basil's hands.

"Your friend is, well... It's neither a bad news or good news.

He is alive and breathing on his own.
But let's say... He's asleep for now.

Actually in a medical point of view this is a miracle, so consider this as good news. For now."

Everybody teared up and smiled. Even Sunny. They all pulled in a big group hug, even Hero forgetting about Sunny's doings for a little while.
Omori went back to Sunny's mind.

"Doctor... Can we see him?"

The friend group was kind of surprised to hear Sunny speaking. AFTER 4 YEARS. At this point his voice was unrecognisable, half because he didn't speak, half because his voice must have changed after hitting puberty.

"Yes, but be really quiet. We already let you all sleep here when the meeting time was over."

"Oh yeah, sorry 'bout that, we were really worried. He's really important to us, like family"
Aubrey spoke and everyone nodded, determined.

Like family... Yes, family, what was I thinking?

Sunny felt Omori smirking.

What?

Nothing, nothing.

The doctor opened the doors.
Sunny rushed over first, the rest following him.
Kel was laying on the hospital bed, looking so peaceful.

He looks just like Mari at her fune-

Sunny shook the thought off.

He's alive. Look at his chest. Is he breathing?

Sunny sat by Kel's side and stared.

Kel's chest was moving shallowly, but he was definitely breathing?

Check his pulse. Just incase.

He put a finger to Kel's neck.
Fast, but rythmical beat was there.

Sunny exhaled, realising that he was holding his breath.

Hey, Sunny. Just a thought, but he shouldn't really have fast pulse nor breathing. It's like he ran away from something...

...And don't you remember that dog? What if it came from Kel's dream world?

You're just giving me more reasons to be worried. And it worked. I don't care about the dog did to me, but I will at least try to stop him from hurting Kel.

Hey, I'm not bringing the thought for you to be reckless. You still see headspace and new things here, right? I think I have something. Just give me some time.

While Sunny looked like in some sort of trance, a conversation was going on around.

"This stupid sleepyhead. Bro probably is dreaming about basketballs. Is it really that important so you decide not to see us after you nearly died??"

"Aubrey, calm down, it's not like he can hear you. Doctors said that we need to be quiet."

"Yeah, Hero's right. I would've be knocked out too if I had a 24-hour operation going on."

"...How do you know."

"Just a feeling."

Hero sat beside Sunny in silence. Then Aubrey and Basil joined.

Sunny pulled out the photo album.
He stopped at every photo with Kel, waiting for their responses.

"Oh, I remember that one too well. While I was chatting with mari, you were sleeping and then rolled over to Kel and accidentally took his hand like a plushie!"

"I remember that too! Shame that Hector ruined it a little, but we can still cover it up with some stickers."

"You two would make a good pair y'know."

Everyone looked at Aubrey. Sunny immediately felt that his face is going red, so he turned his head away.
Aubrey grinned.
Basil and Hero looked at eachother and then at Sunny.

"I think you kinda have a point here."
Basil whispered.

"Kinda??? Dude, didn't you ever see Sunny away from Kel when we
all were spending time? You took the photos yourself!"

"...I guess I never payed attention."

"That makes sense even on both ways. Kel tried to reach out to Sunny ever since their house was on sale. And it was three months from what I heard from Mom. Also he talked a lot about Sunny in the past and present."

"You see?? I definitely have a point"

"Alright, but why would we have to prove it?"

"To make them date. After getting out of the hospital."

...

"I don't think that's a good idea-"

"I don't care what you think because I know you haven't forgiven Sunny yet."

"And did YOU really forgive him?! Don't you care about Mari?! He did that! And now he did that to my brother!! I can't let them just date after all of that. What if he kills him "accidentally"?!"

"Hero chill ou-"

"NO. I WON'T LET YOU DECIDE FOR MY OWN BROTHER."

Hero stormed out.

"*sigh...* gotta get that dumbass before he does something stupid."
Aubrey came out after Hero.
Sunny was back, staring at the album again, seemingly not really moved by what has just happened.

"Basil... Camera... Do you still have it?"

"Yes, I think... Why are you asking?"

"Pretty photos... I want to learn to make."

"Oh sure, I can help with that! I haven't used the camera really for quite a while. What about we meet at my house tommorow?"

"...Good."

"Alright... I better go check on Aubrey and Hero."

Basil left the room.

Sunny was back to staring at Kel.

I'm back and I have a plan.

Today I started a big omori animation project so I didn't really have time to write but I probably will tommorow. And if I have some new fragments of animation done, I'll share it somewhere here bc why not. Believe me, it's going to be epic (but I'll complete it whole probably after some months so don't get too excited.)
