Waiting for something to happen?

The ringing in my ears felt like my head's going to explode. I didn't actually care about what doctors said. The Things were everywhere.

I got up and left the room. I saw Basil and Aubrey talking, fortunately they both didn't notice me. I sneaked around the hallways to finally find what I was looking for.

The ringing and the Things were now gone, a clear image of the world.

There was someone circling around in front of the doors.
It was Hero.

He stopped when he saw me. I stared without words at him and on the doors.

He sighed and sat down.

I sat too, far from Hero, just a thought that he needs time because I don't think that he forgave me.

I analysed the door. There was a sign that said: "24H EMERGENCY OPERATION ROOM. DO NOT DISTURB. BE SILENT!"

I looked up and saw a small window that I could reach for. I stood up and tried to see anything but the window was blurring everything. All that I could recognise were 5 people around something in the center. I sat back and stared at the floor, unfocusing.

"I tried it before. Looks like they are doing their best. It's been going on for eight hours already."

I looked at the clock on the hallway. 8 p.m. Has it really been that short from this attempt?

Basil and Aubrey ran in the hallway. I just stared.

"THERE YOU ARE! Goddamn you gave us a heart attack!"

"Yeah and the doctor said you still need to recover. In. Bed."

I looked at the doors and back at them. I shook my head.

"I don't care."

Back to staring at the door.

"If you insist, then we're all together in this."

Aubrey sat down with her arms crossed beside Hero, and Basil took the last seat, beside me.

In my left appeared a half-transparent chair, and Omori was sitting there.

"All means everyone. Don't worry, I'm there for you. I've always been."

I didn't send him any thoughts, it was him who decided to do THIS. But also I shouldn't give up...

A lot of opposites popped in my head that it started to hurt.

"No overthinking. I know I was supposed to protect you. It's my fault and now I will try to make up for you. And Kel."

My head stopped to hurt. The only thing in my body that I felt was the painfully racing heart.

Hours passed with no signs of life inside the cabin.

I looked over the clock. 4am... another 8 hours passed like this. I turned right and saw Hero and Basil asleep, Aubrey still having her head up. She turned back to me.

"Hey, Sunny... I want to say that I don't blame you. For everything. And I really want to forgive you, but I need to collect myself. Hope you understand. Remember that at first I wanted to go beat you up so badly. And give Hero some time, it's really difficult for him."

I nodded in appreciation.

More time passed. Aubrey was asleep too. I also needed it, but I wanted to stay awake in case.

Omori spoke up.

"Hey, don't push yourself that hard. You need to get rest if you want to be ready to see Kel. Leave waking you up to me."

I was immediately asleep.

I woke up in a weird world, looking nothing like headspace. The grass and leaver were purple-pink and up above me was a weird black or white sky with gray stars. I saw a path with a sign "<to the special place! (10 SL)"

"Looking for something, Intruder?"

I jumped at the voice behind me, and slowly turned around. A black shadowy dog with big blank white eyes was staring at me.

"Do i have to ask again?"

"...No?"

Is that creature speaking? It looks nothing like headspace.

"Yes, I am. And you are not in headspace. You are in Saviour's dream. And you are an intruder."

"Saviour? Who's saviour?"

"Have you never heard? If you love someone truly, your thoughts might follow them into their dreams."

"It's... Kel's dream world? Does it mean he will wake up?"

I got my hopes up.

"I have no idea, but I won't allow that. But I know he's not ready to see you. He can't. I became his guardian so you might as well GO AWAY."

The dog revealed its large and sharp fangs and bit me in the arm.

I woke up, panting. I felt phantom pain in my right arm from the dog.

"SUNNY! Are you okay?! I felt that too! What was this dream? I couldn't even look nor get back! And I tried to wake you up but you didn't respond!"

It was weird... I remember only this black dog with big white eyes and the fact that it bit me...

"..."

What hour is it?

I looked at the clock. 11 a.m.

I could hear some quiet voices on the other side of the door. I poked Basil.

"Wha..? "

I pointed to the door with my head.

"Oh I hear something too!"

Basil woke up the rest.

"Guys, I think it's almost the time."

We all held hands and sat there for another hour, looking at the doors with determination.

And just when the clock hit the noon, a surgeon came out.

"So now we have established the news about your friend."
