It's been 3 months

3 frigging months passed since she was asked moved in with Ezekiel and her husband dearest true to his words made it his mission to prove how incompatible they were, he is never home not even on Sundays.....

Most of the time he spend his days in office or in the club his friend own in Manhattan, even then mostly he would come home at dawn, either she was in her room....yep separate bedroom, sleeping and will leave before she wakes up or wouldn’t come at all.

Out of curiosity when she asked the housekeeper of how does he manage to sleep in his office, she told me Ezekiel has a spare room attached right behind his chamber in his office and when workload becomes too much he often stays there and food is to sent from home since he hates eating out.....though she felt last part she added that workload part was to console her.

Honestly, she doesn't understand him, they don't even share a same room, then why it's necessary to stay away from his house, now what, his highness doesn't wants to shares the same space or breath the same air either ?

Her heart gave a painful tug every time she remembers about that paper he gave her that day.

every fucking time!

He sure doesn't care about her existence in his house, for one, he'd have noticed if she isn’t home, right ?

most of the time, She's either out spending time with Cole and Yohan as Marianna found them a place to practice and do some of her boss, Kallan's work, yeah soon as he found out about her coming back he had his work ready for me, some small cases to solve, so, now unknown to many, she was directly and unofficially working for him.

Though it bothered her a little but she also was thankful for his indifference because she had zero excuse of her disappearance.

Or, whenever she's in the house she spends most of that time watching tv and spending times with the housekeeper or the chef trying to know about Ezekiel's likes and dislikes. Housekeeper was a middle aged lady, very warm and welcoming, always smiling,......like a mother goose to everyone, even the maids were good, though most of the time they avoids talking at all due to work.

None of ever judged her at least not on her face and she never caught anyone talking nasty even behind her back either maybe the outside world doesn't know but they knew she was his wife for years, they respected it.....they knew even after officially moving in with him, she still slept in a separate room.

Maybe they also knew how their master was! In these past 3 months, if she learned anything about her husband it's that, he is someone who wouldn’t hesitate shutting anyone out if he doesn’t feel like having their company even his own father, he has trust issues.

And then the whole crew of his servants, quite protective of their master,.....every time she asked something of him they looked reluctant before answering.

why do i gets feel like that they knew more than they let on.
so many things but no one said anything! maybe because It wasn't' theirs to say ? They respects their employer, his privacy. She mused

At first when Mayur started spending time in kitchen cooking for her husband as peace offering, after all no way they can't not co-exist in a civilised manner, Ezekiel wouldn't even touch the food she would prepare for him under chef's keen eyes.

but slowly he was getting use to it.

so does that mean he is getting use to me too ? no, Mayur don't read too much into it! She told herself

In california, she would often cook whenever she's home, so last night she made pure Bengali food, not the West Bengal one nope,

Pure Bangladeshi food!

everything spicy, though she used less spice in her cooking this time because she learned from the chef that Ezekiel  isn’t used to eating spicy food,....

at least not like the Asians.

So, menu was of __
Plain Rice,
Sauteed gourd,
Yellow lentil soup,
Potato and bitter gourd sauteed with prawns,
Fried pomfrets,
Potatoes, carrots, cauliflower, cabbage and beans sauteed together,
her favourite Liver curry
and a simple salad containing cucumber, tomato, onions and green chilli.

Though housekeeper warned her not to get her hopes high

for he doesn't like eating vegetables much, but surprising as it was, he finished almost everything maids served him, Obvious she didn't go infront of him, who knows when he becomes angry! He wasn’t the only one who tasted her cooking.......everyone else too ate the same food that day and they ate like gusto.

It was rather refreshing to see everybody enjoying her food, she felt contentment
