one thing that surprised her the most was the fact that, it was the chef who taste the food first, right before serving it Ezekiel it's been the rule going on for last few years, same thing she noticed in her Father-in-law's mansion as well but didn’t think much of it....apparently few years ago there was few threats made to kill both her Father-in-law and husband so ever since then security was much tighter.

so that's why Yohan was worried

So every time she cooked, she always starts a bit early, too many items. She was to taste first, everyone was watching her expectantly....

So from each bowl she picked up the little bit everything with spoon,  regarded it critically. She took a sniff, Then she placed it on her tongue, checking to see whether it caused a tingling sensation before taking a bite swallowing it.

I don’t think I’m actually qualified to be tasting for poisons, she thought.  Fast-acting agents were one thing, but with regard to slower toxins she expected to be somewhat useless.

In that hell, her body was accustomed to a variety of poisons by gradual exposure, and suspected there were few left that would have any serious effect on her, in smaller portion at that.

One unfortunate day at dinner

Due to some personal problem house keeper took half day off that day, even Ezekiel was busy enough not to mind the fact that his namesake wife was serving him the supper. He was eating with one hand and busy working on laptop with other, when suddenly he stopped her,"stop! That's enough"

"but you ate so little and you work all day long, just a little more, please! i made paisam today, hope you’d like it" She said softly and just about to serve one more spoon of rice when he got angry

''Damn you, i already told you i don't want anymore, can't you understand a simple sentence'' And yelled jerking his plate away

she jumped at his sudden outburst, even maid washing some dishes jumped and broke something inside, those who were out, were nervously stealing glances at each other but no one uttered a word, they even looked at her in pity, she felt embarrassed.

"I'm sorry" She muttered looking down

He walked away upstairs after washing his hands and a hard thump of the door confirmed that he closed the door of his room!

Ezekiel was getting impatient to put it mildly. He has been keeping a close eye on her for last 4 months and still found out absolutely nothing.

except what was right infront of him,

She is beautiful, kind, warm. She actually noticed what he likes or dislikes and she is a damn good cook, she would often cook his favorite food, he knew that It's her......even though the housekeeper won't tell  him that, but he'd know the  difference in taste, She'd never come out infront of him during those meal time, she stayed inside the kitchen and let the housekeeper serve him, he never complimented her for her thoughtfulness, he knew she would wait for him to come home for dinner and would eat only after he finishes, the housekeeper told him begrudgingly
"you better eat quick my boy because she has this weird habit of eating only after you"...when he was too late and she fell asleep without eating anything that night.

and she is very much patience!

hats off to that. It was him getting frustrated

He knew he was testing her for 3 fucking years but he can't help it.....being skeptical, overthinking became his nature before she came in his life
