Upon finding no excuse she did what she was told, like a good little girl that she was. Mansion was so big, on second floor she almost got lost, at last a servant she noticed and asked the him about the direction of the study, He was kind enough to show her the way, she knocked at door and waited but no sound came from inside so, setting aside her little hesitation, she entered.
it was cozy, dark mostly if you ignore the small vintage chandelier in middle of ceiling whole room was wood paneled, a huge desk in far corner with a laptop still on,....she realized that he was here a few minutes ago. Though there was little dusty smell, she realized maybe this room is barely used.
a fireplace, a large glass partition that allows anyone to go to the balcony without leaving the study, lots of books shelved nicely on the built-in-shelf on the wall, there were awards, variety of pictures of business functions.....
''Done checking ?'' He deep voice pulled her out of trance, she turned, he was sitting on his plush chair cocking his head in a questioning manner
how long have she had been looking around not to notice him coming ?
when did he arrived! she mused
He gestured her with his hand to take a sit and then handed her a manila envelop, she looked at him frowning before taking it in her hand and then pull the paper out of it.
It took her 10 minute to understand the summary of it...
In short,
They are going to live under the same roof but there will be no connection between them whatsoever, he'll live the way he always had been before her...Blah

so, this was in his twisted mind and here I was thinking about giving this marriage a chance.

He turned around to take a good look at her, ''Because my father wants this'' he shrugged
"I didn’t took you for someone who actually care about what others say or think, especially your parents" words came out of her mouth in a more harsh tone than she intended it to
His jaw clenched, ''you don't know many things about me, Ms.Parrish'' He sneered and gritted out

Alright then!
"Why and How long I'm to live here with this terms" She asked swallowed back the heaviness that formed in my throat
''As long as it takes for our parents to realize that we are not compatible with each other'' and with that he left
not compatible with each other! how would you know when you didn’t even bother trying ?
