Kartik's POV
I dropped his hand forcefully. He staggered back, his eyes focussing on me. I glared at him, my hands curling into a fist around my sides as my jaw ticked.
My gaze followed back to Rivaah, who was already watching me in surprise, honey brown eyes wide in astonishment.
"Are you alright? " I asked and felt releived only when she nodded a 'no '.
"Did he hurt y-" I wasn't able to complete since she interrupted me, eyes widening at something behind me as she spoke, "KARTIK-"
I ducked my head below, dodging the groggy hand that was about to hit me. I turned around, my hands coming around to stop the man's in the air, twisting them untill he cried out.
"Sorry-sorry, please leave me. " he cried.
What about hitting me on my back again, moron?
"Apologize, right now. " my voice was thunderous, leaving no room for disobedience.
"Sorry, sorry -"
"Not to me. " I yanked him around with a jerk, so that he faced Rivaah and her friend, "Them. "
"Sorry mam, sorry. " he apologized profusely, as I left his hand. Bloody bastard.
"It's okay, " they both nodded at him, clwarly wanting to be rid of him. Rivaah watched me with worried eyes as she said, "Let's just leave. "
I looked at her for a second longer before I noded.
"Don't you dare misbehave with a girl like that again." I jabbed my finger at the crude man, my anger already itching to throw a punch at him. But firstly, I needed to get Rivaah home.
I left him to rott there, admist a crowd of people who'd gathered to watch the free show. I wanted to shout at each one of them for simply standing there wearing bangles as if they'd break them if they did something to stop that fucker.
Useless people.
I saw Rivaah helping her friend up from a seat who seemed pretty wasted. I walked towards her to help her, but saw as she winced in pain when her friend held her hand. My eyes landed on her hand, to find it turning purple.
She was clearly bruised.
Her eyes met mine and I bet she saw the fury swirling inside mine.
I turned around, my fist closing with resolve to dislocate the jaw of a certain man.
He was so gone.
I took long strides, weaving through the crowd untill I saw a familiar grass like haired man, with a magpie's head. Anger overpowered my senses.
But before I could throw the punch I was determined to, I felt delicate hands around my shoulder, stopping me.
I stared at Rivaah, who was nodding her head in refusal, eyes laced with worry. "Please don't, not now. Let's just leave from here. Before anybody from office sees you. "
She's really worried about that right now?
"Hell if I care. I just know I need to punch-"
"Not now, please. Let's just go. " her doe brown eyes stared at me and I was at loss of words.
I was about to protest but her stare, "Okay.. " I agreed.
We went near her friend who was still seated, head dangling like a dandelion. I helped her out, since Rivaah clearly couldn't, as we went near the parking.
The girl was totally wasted.
"What were you guys thinking? Drinking like that? " there was anger in my voice. I clearly hated the idea of being so drunk you forget where you are or worse, who you are. I glared at the wasted girl who was swooning, looking at me, thinking herself some princess.
