Rivaah's POV

"The best part of the movie was definitely when Varun Dhawan appeared out of nowhere as Bhediya-"

"No, the best part was Aparshakti's 'soft chitti, warm chitti'-"

"Guys, you're forgetting the OG, for me it was Shraddha Kapoor's fight-"

"You are all wrong" I cut them off, a self satisfied smile taking over my face, "The best part was Vicky's version of 'calm down'." I could still hear it playing in my ears right now. I had hooted the loudest at that, it was that hilarious. I seriously need a full version of it on my playlist asap.

"Yeah, it was the best." Abhinav agreed with me, as I hi-fied him.

Revti Di joined our laugh too as we made fun of Ritesh together. We had all just watched 'Stree 2' in Kartik's private theatre. Yes, this apartment had a freaking private theatre, and it had been kept hidden from me for so long. I could only imagine how many movies I would've binged in here if only I knew it existed.

Sigh.

All of them had surprised us in the evening by crashing here, to celebrate Kartik's success. Never once did they made me feel excluded, they were all so warm and forthcoming. I sneaked a glance at Kartik's direction to find him busy on his phone.

Why the hell is he always on his phone!? He doesn't even have a social media account, for god's sake.

"Looks like someone got a little scared while watching it. " He looked up from his phone, knowing very well the words were directed at him. But I maintained a straight face.

"Was it me screaming like I was training to sell fruits in the local market while watching the movie? I think not."

His words made me look at him in incredulity.

How dare he?

"It's called having fun. But how would you know that?"

"Were you also having fun holding onto my arm like your life depended on it? " That smirk. That damn smirk.

Someone hand me a gun please, I have this sudden urge to pass a bullet through a certain someone's head.

"I did not do any such thing!"

He rolled the sleeves of his T-shirt to reveal red marks there. No way I did that!

"Looks like a reptile rolled all over it, right?" He clicked his tongue, totally enjoying my state of embarrassment.

Reptile, my ass.

I looked at my freshly manicured hands in accusation as I swore to sharpen my nails the next time.

Might even draw out blood the next time this smartass argues with me.

"I would have mistaken you for someone else." I averted my eyes from him, as I lied, not giving him the satisfaction of seeing me flustered.

"Oh, yeah? " Why did his voice sound strange?

"And anyway, who asked to come sit right beside me? There were so many empty seats." I folded my hands to look at him, only to find his glaring eyes already set on me.

Bloody, refrigerator!

"Stop it, you guys." Revti Di's voice brought us our of our staring fit, making me scrunch my nose once at him, before I averted my eyes. I swear sometimes I feel like his presence was a punishment God gave me for all the mosquitos I've killed till date.

"Yrr..no bad blood today. We are here to celebrate afterall." Abhinav sensible words calmed me down a bit. Yes. Celebration.

"We've celebrated enough. Let's head back to sleep, it's a weekday remember. We all have jobs tomorrow." Everyone collectively glared at Kartik, shutting him up effectively.
