'Tempest'

Maevah sighed leaning against a tree, watching the fire flicker before her.

The first time she heard that word was when she received this mission from Makarov the guild master of Fairy Tail. It's rather concerning how a magnificent forest like Jura was infested and inhabited by monsters, the words of her master ringing clear in her mind.

Above all, a slime claimed to be the ruler is the harbringer of chaos and calamity, feared by kingdoms and towns.

So there she is with her sister, in the domain of the said forest to search for this slime and end him.

Kill him was the given request of the client who talked to Makarov.

But that is not the Fairy Tail way.

They don't just bare their fangs to anyone unless there is a clear reason and evidence of their crime.

Another sigh left her lips, her gaze soon wandering at her slumbering little sister as it's almost one in the morning. And yet she couldn't sleep as usual. Not when she felt something amiss going on around the forest.

Though it was peaceful and seemed out of danger, she just was sure someone is watching them closely but she didn't bother calling out.

She knew the inhabitants there were just cautious and she doesn't blame them. Hence, she even agrees with that very idea.

Maiah stirred in her sleep, mumbling about her sweet comfy bed back at their home urging Maevah to smile.

Ah, what a handful.

Maiah, that is.

'Any suspicious moves, Souei? Any unexpected move from our guests?'

Souei the reliable spy of Tempest, the great nation centered in the heart of Jura, had yet to give his response to his master, who was using thought communication to check on him.

'Souei?'

"Nothing as of now, Rimuru-sama. One is deeply sleeping while the other is on a look out. And I don't sense any malicious aura," he answers, his eyes never leaving the girls.

'Then let them be. Have your body double stay with them while you rest.'

"Understood."

Taking one last look at the ladies, he was gone in the shadows while one of his body double took his spot. He was just thankful to get some sleep.

A distant howl of a wolf startled the siblings from their deep slumber and was awakened in an instant.

Maiah even in her half sleep state stood up defensively, barely awaked orbs looking around.

"What was that?"

"Wolf," Maevah replies, gesturing with her chin the direction of the furry animal.

Maiah looked ahead to indeed see a magnificent wolf, only they're wolves. Sittting on their back, the lady squinted her eyes making sure she's not still dreaming as she eyed the riders carefully.

"Goblins?" She muttered unsure to herself but her sister heard her.

"Yup!"

Seeing some of the goblins eyeing her weapon, she quickly hid them behind her back and grinned big at the group.
