As soon as the first lights of the sun broke out from their confinements, everyone's already in position.
They've calculated the exact time of the majins attack who was expecting a clean execution of his plan, they are sure.
But not on Fairy Tail's watch.
And as the unwritten rule, Rimuru and Noir would stay in the sidelines only stepping in if neccesary. Not that they wanted to do that but one look from their soulmates is enough.
"Lucy, Wendy, Carla, how did the evacuation go?" Rimuru asked using thought communication to do so. And he only had to share some of his magicules to everyone of them to activate that.
"All done. We brought them all out of the valley safely," he heard Lucy answer.
"Protection barrier is already placed as well," Wendy happily exclaimed.
"Ahh, thanks Wendy! You really did it. I know you can do it!"
When he asked Wendy to place a barrier around the evacuees, the young lady was skeptical saying she hadn't done any of that. Yet he managed to convince her in the end, and the result is this.
"Well, Wendy is a high enchanter after all," Carla muses with pride and the ruler can't help but agree. This is the very reason he asked her to do it.
"Yosh! Now, no one will have to fall victim to that majin again. Aside from the elves he had taken first off course but anyway good job guys! I leave the back fort to you!"
Rimuru heard a series of positive answers before he shut off the mindlink.
"Now, that just leaves the majin and his army of bird brained soldiers."
They have the best top view too as they were in the air with him on the back of Ranga, Noir besides him.
"Master, are we not really joining the fight?" the wolf asked quite concerned.
"Ah. They've cast us aside after all. But in the first place this is their mission so I am just complying with what they wanted. And believe me Ranga, this group of wizards aren't to be messed with."
"Rimuru-sama, look that way." Noir took his attention. He looked to where his butler was pointing.
And there they are. The majins and their 2,500 soldiers ready to enslave all the elves, absorb their powers and summon Zeref.
"That's them, huh? Hmm? I can't feel that much ethernano from them."
"Answer: They are not well trained soldiers. Most are just followers ready to lay their lives for this nonesense."
"Ara, Raphael-san, you seem annoyed. You okay?"
"No need to worry about me. I was just stating facts."
Rimuru can't help but chuckle at that. Well, he 100% agrees. This is such a waste of time and effort for someone who would never appear before them.
The followers soon charged, yelling and raising their weapons as they run forth blindingly.
A blast of ice and fire however sent many tumbling in the air, dropping back down to the grounds already unconcious.
The smokes cleared to reveal the unmistaken figures of Gray and Natsu, the duo all fired up for an all out attack and defense.
"Zeref this, Zeref that. You won't be able to see him. He's busy a busy man, you know. And he won't spare time for the likes of you," Gray taunts spreading his arms rather dramatically and wiping down the first lines of defense.
