"I heard a great deal about you Emperor Rimuru. No, I hope I can just call you Rimuru," Makarov who was now in audience with the emperor, expresses his genuine desire to make their relationship not just diplomatic but more than that.

Rimuru on the other hand was delighted, he quickly agreed with the request. Nothing makes conversations more easier but the trust of the parties involved.

"I was hoping for that as well, Gramps. May I call you that?"

Makarov starred at his guest for a while, not believing his ears. If only all of those kings and emperors are as polite and humble as the one before him.

"Gramps is fine with me. I appreciate it that you don't feel wary around me or any of my children. Even if Maevah's your wife and Maiah is your sister in law, if you were others you would have been suspicious and guarded."

True. The slime emperor would have been if he hadn't known this guild for a while now. This maybe their first time meeting personally but Fairy Tail feels like home. Warm and comforting. This should be what a guild feels like.

His eyes softened, them forming cresents as he smiled.

"There is no reason for me to do that in a place my wife calls home. I have high respect for Fairy Tail, gramps. Having met with first master Mavis nee-chan, Natsu, Erza, Gray, Lucy, Wendy even Happy and Carla, they proved over and over again what's it like to be called Fairy Tail. And I am proud of them. It started with Maevah and Maiah but having met those friends I now consider a family solidified it."

The guild master was both touched and relieved. Not that he didn't trust Rimuru in the first place or is wary of him but he's still someone of high caliber status, that changes things.

"Thank you. I am trully happy that Maevah's soulmate is you. You may hail from a monster nation but you are more human than a lot of dignatiries and nobles I know. I promise you that Fairy Tail will always be by your side."

Rimuru nods with a pleased smile. That line is always encouraging to hear.

"Tempest is the same in that regard. Fairy Tail is not just an ally but a family! Human wizard guild and and empire of monsters, it doesn't really matter! We all need each other anyway. And it just to happens that breaking stereotypes is my thing! Heeeee!"

Makarov laughs at the claim but deep down, he knows it's true.

"So I have heard. It's for the good of many anways, so you are actually doing all of them a favor."

"Emperor of the Southwest, huh? That sure is a hideous thing to do," muses Makarov after Rimuru relayed to him what happened during Zeref and Mavis's visit.

"Indeed. To be honest I was raging that time. As an otherworlder myself, I was scared the first time I woke up in this world, before I have accepted I am a slime. Imagine what could entail with those children who knew nothing and was just starting their lives. That is why I plan to eradicate all of his magic circles that he uses to summon."

"I get it that you wanted to do that but would that be of much help? Can't that emperor just create a new one?" the guild master questions quite worried.

"He can't." Rimuru answers without hesitation.

"Huh?"

"Thanks to the magic circle he created in our nation, we managed to study it thoroughly and thanks to Zeref nii-san's research about it as well. It appears the emperor of the Southwest uses his own lifeforce to create these magic circles. That is why, it's that powerful and strong. Anyone careless enough to go near it will have their magical abilities drained. That's how it's sustained and gain even more powers."
