Their Fated Mate

Chapter Eighteen

(Jin's POV)

By the time we all got back to the pent house we were all tired, and covered in blood. The problem at our business had been a big one, that had taken hours to take care of. The four of us stood in the elevator as we waited for it to bring us up to our floor. 

The problem had been at one of our factories, an alcohol factory. Some workers had been acting strange when we had gotten the call. Upon getting there they had turned suicidal and tried to kill themselves as soon as we had gotten there. We should have brought Yoongi, but we hadn't known the situation until we had gotten there, and by then it was too late. 

I had worked with the other three to stop them all from dying, but there was still a few that had. We couldn't save everyone. What was the worst part was you could tell they had been compelled to do it, and only the person who had compelled them could undo it or Yoongi could with his ability. 

As we stepped out of the elevator as it dinged and opened up to see Adeline sleeping peacefully on the couch as Jungkook was sitting on the couch across from her as he watched her sleep. It was easily after noon, and yet she was still sleeping. 

"I'm gonna need a shower." Jimin said as he walked around the couch that Adeline was sleeping on to watch her sleep peacefully. 

"We all are, if she sees us like this she is going to flip out." Hoseok said as Namjoon just went up and moved some of her hair away from her face before starting to make his way upstairs. 

"Meeting in an hour." Namjoon said right before he entered his room. 

The rest of us who had gone with him made our ways to our rooms before taking showers as well. By the time I was done Adeline was still asleep soundly and I made my way up the other set of stairs before walking into Namjoon's office. 

Everyone else was already in there besides Jungkook who was still watching over Adeline. As I entered Namjoon was flipping through a book before setting it down on his desk. 

"Since all of us are here now, we can start the meeting. Jungkook will be filled in later." Namjoon said as he stood up from his desk. He put his hands in his pockets as he came around and leaned against the front of his desk. 

"We all know who did this attack on our business which more than likely means that somehow he found out about us taking Adeline for her parents' debts." Namjoon told us and the tension in the room only got worse at those words.

"You're thinking he's going to come for her?" Jimin asked as he ran a hand through his silvery gray hair. 

"It's possible. If he's going as far to attack our employees then he wants something. He saw the resemblance the other day, both Tae and Hoseok confirmed what was on his mind as he left, Adeline. He wants her and history will repeat itself unless we're ready." Namjoon said as he looked around at all of us. 

"But she's ours now, the stone around her neck says so. He has to stop the attacks unless he wants to get in trouble with the council. They don't take kindly to the fact of anyone going after another's 'pet'. I know that isn't exactly the term we would like to use for her, but with only the stone, in the council's eyes she's only our pet." Yoongi said as he leaned back into the couch, he wasn't too happy about this news. 

"If it comes down to the fact that the council has to step in because he's murdering countless humans they will at least take that into account. Not to mention that they will take her emotions into count, and I'm sure they'll side with us. She knew us first, we saved her, we wanted to keep her safe, and then everything else happened." Namjoon said as he was looking off at one of the walls. I knew he was deep in thought, the council were always a lot to handle for anyone. We hadn't even dealt with them since the whole Tara thing. Which back then even after everything, they had sided with us. 

"We could always turn his ass into the council, he's been on the run since we dealt with them last. They'll take care of him for us." I told everyone as Namjoon looked over at me as he seemed to be contemplating the idea. 

"But a sighting wouldn't be enough for them, we would have to know where he's staying and make sure he doesn't run before they get here to deal with him. None of us would be able to get that information on him." Yoongi told us all and I shook my head softly. 

"He's going to keep attacking us until we give him what he wants, and we aren't going to do that. As long as he has a target in mind he won't be moving. I'll get a hold of the council as soon as possible." Namjoon said as he took out a piece of paper and sat down before starting to write a letter to the council. 

We all watched as he signed it, folded the paper before taking out a lighter and burning it. The council had countless magical users working for them around the clock, but we still don't know how long it would take for them to get back to us. 

"With the letter being sent we have to make sure that Adeline is never left alone. After today we'll all start going to the club and bring her with us. We can't just drop our businesses and the only way we can make sure she's safe a hundred percent of the time is by all seven of us always being in the same building as her. We can't be splitting up our numbers." Namjoon told us all as we all nodded, understanding what he was saying fully. 

"Is that the end of meeting? I still need to get some sleep for tonight." Yoongi asked as he stood up off the couch. 

"Adeline is in love with us, has been for a while now. She doesn't think we know, but we've all noticed the changes in how she goes about her life. We kissed this morning on the balcony before we had gotten the notice about the problem at the factory. I haven't talked to her about it yet, but I'm sure our relationship with her will be changing here soon." Namjoon told us and as I looked around the room I could see I wasn't the only one stunned by his words. 

"Is she supposed to know that we know? Like how do we go about this?" Taehyung asked as he stood up from where he was leaning against the wall. 

"Just be your normal selves. Once she's awake I'll talk to her about all of this and we'll go from there." Namjoon told us all as we all nodded before leaving the office and going our separate ways.
