Sunlight streamed through the small window of the motorhome, casting a warm glow over Carlos and Oscar as they stirred awake. Oscar yawned and stretched, feeling a sense of contentment wash over him as he recalled the events of the previous night. Carlos, still half-asleep, tightened his arm around Oscar's waist, not wanting to let go of the warmth and closeness.

"Morning," Oscar murmured, his voice still groggy.

"Morning," Carlos replied, a smile tugging at his lips as he blinked his eyes open. "How'd you sleep?"

"Better than I have in a long time," Oscar said honestly, meeting Carlos's gaze.

They lay there for a few more minutes, savoring the quiet intimacy of the moment, before reluctantly getting out of bed to start their day. After freshening up and dressing, they settled back on the couch with cups of coffee in hand.

Carlos took a sip of his coffee, then looked at Oscar thoughtfully. "So, we have that flight with the others today. Have you thought about how we're going to handle... us?" The older driver couldn't stop the uneasy tug in his belly. A bit of fear shining through.

Oscar sighed, placing his cup down on the table. "Yeah, I've been thinking about it. I mean, I'm excited about us and I want to share it with our friends, but..." He trailed off, searching for the right words.

"But?" Carlos prompted gently.

"But I think we should keep it to ourselves for now," Oscar said, meeting Carlos's eyes with a serious expression.

Carlos nodded. He tried hard to hide his disappointment. Maybe it was to early but he still felt rejected by Oscar, what reason could he have to want to hide their feeling for each other from their closest friends?

The Aussie seamed to sense the tense look of his new partner ""I want us to figure things out on our own, without anyone else interfering or putting pressure on us. This is new and special, and I don't want anything to ruin it."

Understanding now where Oscar was coming from, Carlos nodded "I get that. Our friends mean well, but they can be... a lot sometimes. Especially Lando." They both thought about the way Lando had tried to push them both on various occasions. It was something they both appreciated about the Briton, but they knew it could be a bit much for their relationship at the moment.

Oscar chuckled softly. "Exactly. I don't want them to start playing matchmaker or making a big deal out of everything. We need time to just be us, to see how this works."

Carlos reached out, taking Oscar's hand in his and giving it a reassuring squeeze. "Alright. We'll keep it between us for now. But know that whenever you're ready, I'm with you."

Oscar smiled, feeling a surge of affection for the Spaniard. "Thank you, Carlos. I appreciate that. And who knows, maybe once we're more settled, we can think about telling them." He smiled "Lando especially was a great for me figuring things out. He deserves to know, that it wasn't for nothing."

Carlos leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to Oscar's lips. "Sounds like a plan."

They finished their coffee in comfortable silence, both lost in their thoughts about the day ahead. Suddenly another thing came to Oscar's mind.

After sipping his last coffee, the Aussie turned fully towards Carlos trying out kept the nervous edge out of his voice "There is something else." The Spaniard raised a silent eyebrow. The younger nervously picked at his nails, avoiding eye contact "Well... As you may know I have a flat in the UK. "

Oscar shifted in his seat, his fingers fidgeting with the edge of his jacket. "I was thinking... Since the British GP is next week, and we have a few days off before that... Would you, um, like to stay at my flat? You know, instead of a hotel."

Carlos's eyebrows raised in surprise, but his smile grew warmer. "You're inviting me to your place?"

"Yeah," Oscar said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I mean, it's nothing fancy, but it's home. And I'd like to share that with you. But only if you're comfortable with it."

Carlos set his tablet aside, leaning forward to take Oscar's hand in his. "I'd love to, Oscar. Thank you for inviting me. But are you sure? You seem a bit... unsure."

Oscar sighed, looking down at their intertwined hands. "It's just... my flat is my space, you know? It's where I relax, where I'm just me. Inviting you there feels like showing you everything about me. It's kind of scary."

Carlos's thumb brushed over Oscar's knuckles, a soothing gesture. "I understand. And I'm honored that you want to share that with me. But if you're worried about getting caught, we can be careful. We don't have to tell anyone where I'm staying."

Oscar looked up, meeting Carlos's eyes. The sincerity and warmth in them melted his anxiety a little. "I just don't want to complicate things for you. Or for us."

Carlos smiled softly. "Oscar, we'll figure it out. We can be discreet. What matters is that you're comfortable with this. And if you are, then I am too. I'd love to see your flat, to spend time with you there."

Oscar felt a weight lift off his shoulders at Carlos's words. "Okay," he said, smiling back. "Then it's settled. You'll stay with me."

Carlos leaned in and kissed Oscar gently. "Thank you for inviting me. I can't wait."

As they parted, Oscar felt a renewed sense of excitement. The days leading up to the British Grand Prix were going to be special, and he was ready to share his world with Carlos, one step at a time.

As they prepared to leave the motorhome and head to the airport, Oscar glanced at Carlos with a playful grin. "Ready to face the world?"

Carlos laughed, feeling a renewed sense of determination. "Vamonos"
