19 | Football

"Do you guys want to play some football before we leave for our trip?" I ask the girls as I scroll through the photos I took the other day on my laptop. "Sure. That'll be fun" Kate says standing up from her spot and sitting next to me to look at the photos.

"I'm down. I don't really know how to play but I'll try" Gabbie says and gasp at the photo I took of her. "My ass looks fat in that photo" she says and I roll my eyes. "It doesn't help if you're bending down" Jada tells her from her spot on the couch.

I roll my eyes and everyone tells me that they'd play. All we need is Kalea's answer. "Kalea? You in?" Hannah asks my best friend. "My mom told me I'm not allowed"

"Why?" I look at Kalea with a smirk on my face. "Olivia and I use to play and it got competitive and I accidentally knocked out one of Olivia's teeth" everyone looks at me all I shock. "What? We were like five"

"So do you wanna..." Jada ask Kalea and she thinks about it for a second. "Fine. Let's do it" we all get up from our spots and change into some sports clothes and grab some water bottles.

"Wait a minute. How are we going to get there because my mom won't let cross the street" Caitlin spoke for the first time today and we all just glare at her.

Okay so what Gabbie and I found out is that Caitlin and Kalea are on a break for some reason. They won't tell us why. Oh and Caitlin hates Jordyn with a passion.

"Jordyn's coming" Kalea says checking her phone and I glance at Caitlin and see her rolling her eyes. Kalea is a little oblivious to things like this. "I guess that's fine" I mumble as we make our way to the front where Jordyn was waiting for us.

It was Saturday today which means no school so there wasn't much people on campus so we decided to go out on the football field to play.

"Okay so we have this thing that we came up with" Hannah says setting a Barbie looking thing down on the grass. "Is everybody else seeing a barbie's head nailed to a 2 x 4?" I ask the group hoping I'm not tripping.

"Yeah" they all say and I nod my head. "Okay good" Kalea laughs next to me making Kate gently slap her telling her to shut up while Hannah does her long explanation as to why she has this.

After she explained that the winning team will have this weird ass doll thing, we split into groups. "Alright. We should get this game going" Sydney says clapping her hands. "This will be so much fun. I never played before" Joedyn says and I mentally groan. "Great. You can cover AJ"

My team huddle up and we started making our play. "You know what you're doing right?" I ask Gabbie and she nods her head. "Okay so Jada is going to catch the ball and you and I will block" I tell her and she looks at me confused.

"What's block? Block what?" Gabbie ask sounding so confused. I groan and mentally slap her. "I thought you said you know what you're doing?"

"Yeah. In life" fuck sakes. I love you Gabbie but damn sometimes you can be slow. "Hey don't be rude" Jordyn says to me and Gabbie, Jada, Hannah, Kalea and I just stare at her. "If you think that's rude then you clearly don't know her very well and it shows" Jada tells Jordyn.

"Alright. Break" we clap our hands together and we get into our positions. We wait for the other team to finish their gossip session then we start playing again.

I toss the ball to Jade and Gabbie and I start running to block the other players while Jordyn runs to the other side getting ready to catch the ball.

I watch Jada throw the ball to Jordyn and she almost catches it but she seems happy that she almost did. "I almost caught that one!" She squeals and we all groan. "Great. Now the score is 7 to almost to 7" I tell her and walk away.
