22 | Oh Sofia

"Kate?" I turn around and get up so that I'm now standing in front of her. "Hey" I stare at her and got mad. "What the actual fuck Kate!? I was texting you for days and you didn't answer your damn fucking phone"

She stands there and looks shocked at my outburst. "You know how worried I was for you? I thought Gabbie or Jada killed you or something" I gently push her and started crying even more.

"I thought you were mad at me because of Sofia and-fuck you Kate. You can't do that to me. You can't not answer your phone" I push her again and she just takes it.

"Why are you here? How did you get here?" I ask finally calming down. "Your sister flew me in...look. I'm sorry for not answering my phone. I really wanted to but Eliana wanted it to be a surprise" I sigh and look behind Kate's back and see my sister, Syd, A'ja and Kelsey all looking our way and waving like crazy.

I flip them all off and Syd holds her heart clearly offended. "I'm still mad at you" I point my finger to her chest making her look down at it and I move my finger so that hits her nose.

"I'm sorry. Don't blame your sister. The person you should actually is...honestly probably Caitlin...or Jada or Gabbie" I smile a little and she wipes my tears away.

"I hope you know that it killed me seeing all of those texts. Oh by the way, who is Sofia to you? You cheating on me?" She jokes and I shake my head. "Never. Sofia is a family friend. You know that house that you like next door?"

"Of course. With the beautiful big glass wall" I nod my head. "Yeah that one. That's the McCallum's house" I watch her look at me like I'm her everything. I've notice she's been doing that more often.

"You're beautiful" she tells me and fixes my hair. "I want to take you out tonight. Explore the city even though I have no idea where I'll be going" she says pulling me into a hug and I wrap my arms around her.

"I'm down but we're eating supper at the McCallum's tonight and you're obviously coming" we pull apart and she kisses my lips then my forehead. "Sounds good"

We sat down by the window and chilled until the practice was over. The whole team started to talk to Kate until Ellie dragged us away. "So how did you like your surprise?" Ellie ask putting her seatbelt on and starting the car up.

"I think she wants to kill you" Kate says from the back and I agree with her. "Well you can't kill me so..." I sigh and put my seatbelt on.

Ellie drives us home where Kate's stuff was already there. How the fuck did she get to the gym? We soon get home and I drag Kate up to my room and shut the door.

"Can I talk to you? About something important?" I ask Kate and sit her down on my bed. "Yeah. What's up?" She sits criss cross apple sauce. I hand her the file that the coach gave me.

She reads it over and her eyes go wide. "Olivia this is huge. You have to take it" she says and I sit down next to her. "I don't know. I'll be gone for most of the break"

"So? This is an amazing opportunity and I won't let you say no to this" she's giving me this face. So she's dead fucking serious. "But what about us?" I ask playing with my blanket.

"What about us?" Kate ask looking confused. I sigh and just shake my head. "Hey. If you're worried about us breaking up or whatever, that won't happen. It's not like your living countries. We'll be okay" she reassures me and sets the folder down.

"But I'm being serious. You should take this job. It'll only be for like a month and half and you'll come back" she says laying down on my bed and pulling me on top of her.

We lay like that for a while. Me thinking about my decision which I'll probably say yes to and Kate showing me some photos she took on the plane and what not. Then her telling me some gossip about the girls and Kalea.
