"Why do I have to come?" I Kalea whines as she grabs her bag and follows me out of the door. "Because I love you and you're apart of the family" I tell her for the fifth time today. "I know damn well that's not the real reason" I wave her off and lead her to Uber where Kate was waiting at.
"Kate. What's the real reason why I'm here?" I hear Kalea ask her. I roll my eyes and load the bags in the car. "Sofia is going to be there and she's scared" damn. She really exposed me like that. So nonchalant. "You're a pussy" Kalea tells me and I flip her off and get in the car and we drive off to the airport.
My parents are flying us out to Seattle so that we can go camping to god knows where. Mom told Ellie and I to bring your love ones and a plus one so I brought Kate, obviously, and Kalea. "I didn't even get to eat yet" Kalea complains. "Oh well" I tell her and she flicks my head.
"So you want your best friend to starve and die?" she ask with an attitude. "It wouldn't be the worst thing" I joke making her roll her eyes at me. "I'll remember that when you ask for something"

It didn't take long to get to the airport and soon enough, we were on the plane. I was in the middle seat, Kate on the isle on and Kalea, the princess, by the window. "You guys got everything?" Kate ask for the tenth time this trip and its been three hours. She's like a mom.
"Yes Kate. We have everything" I reassure her and she gives me a nod. "Guys. I forgot my charger" Kalea says all panicked as she looks through her bag. "And that's why I ask" Kate mumbles and pulls out her own charger and hands it to Kalea. "Oh Kalea...you're special" I tell her with a smirk on my face.
I text my mom to let her know that we're leaving and would be there soon before putting my phone on airplane mode. The whole flight there was Kalea talking about random ass shit. I would pretend that I was listening to her which I really wasn't but I feel like she knew but that didn't stop her.
We finally landed and waited for mom to pick us up. Well, that's who I thought was gonna pick us up but I was dead wrong. "What are you doing here?" I cross my arms as I glare at the girl I used to call my sister and step in front of Kate. "She's here to help me get food after we get you guys" Jason tells me and I eye Sofia.
