34 | Meeting the Martin family

Kate has been still off ever since her game and it's been a week. I honestly don't know what's going on with her and it's bugging me. I asked her so many times what's wrong but she always says the same answer.

"Nothing why?"

Nothing my ass.

I've been hanging out with mostly Kalea these days because everyone is so busy with school or basketball. "Wanna go shopping?" Kalea asks lying down on my bed, invited herself as always. "It's the third time this week" I tell her and scroll through TikTok and watching some edits. "Okay and?"

"Babe!" Both Kalea and I jump from the sudden shouting. "Was that yours or mine? Because they both sound the same when they yell" I whisper to Kalea and she shrugs and we just stare at each other. "Olivia!"

"That's my girl" I groan and get up from my comfy spot to go see what Kate wanted but she walked into my room so I laid back down. "Why didn't you answer me? Were you watching another edit of me?"

"Uh no..." I look down at my phone and quickly turn it off. "Liar" she walks over to me and I eye her to see if she's going to switch up or something and start being grumpy but she's fine for now.

I've been careful of what I say to her these past few days because the first two days, I thought I was going to die. So I learned from my mistakes and thought about what I was going to say before speaking.

"Can I talk to you?" She asks paying with the end of my braid that I did earlier. "Yeah sure. What about?" I ask her with a smile on my face. "Should I be here for this?" Kalea asks about to get up but quickly gave up.

"Doesn't matter" Kate tells her and she decides to lay down next to me. I guess we're all going to lay here. On my bed. That's made for two people.

"Iwantyoutomeetmyfamily" she quickly says and I look at her with a blank face. "I didn't get a single thing you said to be honest" Kalea tells her and she sighs. "I want you to meet my family" I slowly nod my head with a smile. "Yeah sure"

"I would also like to meet your family. Ya know, to see the family you're getting married into" I roll my eyes to what Kalea just said. "Sure...? I guess you can come" Kalea looks over at me with a smirk and says "that's what she said"

"Alright because we're going to supper tonight" my jaw drops at the truth bomb she just told me. "Tonight?" Kalea and I both say at the same time. "Nah bitch. I'm not prepared for that. You're on your own" I groan and watch Kate bite her lip all worried.

"Tonight? Nah you got me fucked up" I tell her as a joke but she wasn't having it. "You don't want to go? That's fine. It's not like I've been stressing about this all week" she nervously laughs and looks down at her hands.

So that's why she's been acting like that all mother fucking week?

"So this is what you were stressing about this whole week and made my life miserable?" Kalea asks her and I nudge her. Hard. "Let me rephrase that" here we go.

"You were stressing about that which made Olivia stressed out making me hear all of her complaints about how you wouldn't talk to her and made me suffer since I had to hang out with her ass all week" Kalea rambles and I cover my face in my hands.

"I mean, it wasn't like I hated hanging out with you. It's just that, you're always breathing in my vicinity-" she stops herself and starts laughing. "Just kidding. I love you" she pulls me into a bear hug and I just watch her all confused.

"Anyways. Yes I'll come tonight don't worry" I tried hugging Kate but Kalea wouldn't let me go. "Let me go bitch" I push her off of me so that I can finally get a hug I've been needing for the past week.
