I woke up before the sun had fully risen, the soft light filtering through the curtains casting a gentle glow across our bedroom. Next to me, Zach lay peacefully, his chest rising and falling with each slow breath. I watched him for a moment, a Knot forming in my stomach as my eyes traced the faint graze, on his chest.

The remainder of last night's chaos.

Bwoy mi feel like mi a siddung inna some pile a shit and cyah come out.

Cah mi know wah kinda mix up and bagga bagga a gwan right now.

Silently, I slipped out of bed, careful not to disturb him.
Probably nuh get nuh good sleep from when.

I headed to the bathroom, the cool tiles underfoot waking me up completely. The hot water from the shower cascaded over me, washing away the remnants of sleep but not the worries plaguing my mind.

How we reach yah suh???

The question is, niyoka forgave you for dating her brother but what is she going to think when she finds out that you knew this entire time about her brother.

She won't...

She's dating the enemy...

And???

Stepping out of the shower, I wrapped the towel around myself and stared at my reflection in the mirror. The secret I carried felt heavier than ever, like a stone in my chest.

I want to tell her, I do... I just feel like I'm not the one that's fit to tell her.

But I don't want her to be mad at me if she finds out.

I dressed quickly and made my way to the kitchen, determined to push worries aside, at least for now. The smell of freshly brewed chocolate tea filled the air as I started cooking breakfast( pancakes, eggs and bacon).

The sizzle of bacon in the pan brought me back to the present. I finished cooking and set the table, glancing toward the bedroom, and checking if he was awake as yet.

We're supposed to head to my doctor's appointment today. Just to make sure the baby and I are okay.

Today makes 4 weeks and my bump is still small. Sometimes I'm still in disbelief that a whole human being is growing inside me.

As I poured orange juice into two glasses, I heard the soft creak of the bedroom door. He appeared in the doorway, a sleepy smile on his face.

"Morning."

"Morning, yuh breakfast ready can guh wash yuh face and come. " I spoke, placing his plate in the microwave

We ate in comfortable silence for a few moments, the clinking of cutlery and the soft hum of the radio in the background. Finally, he cleared his throat and looked at me.
