Zandre's POV
I leaned back against the worn out lawn chair, feeling the familiar burn in my lungs as I took another drag from the joint. The smoke curled lazily in the air before disappearing into the evening sky.
I glanced over at my boys, catching snippets of their conversations. I chuckled at something one of them said, but I wasn't really focused. My mind was wandering, half caught up in the moment and half somewhere else.
Such girl??
Yup.
I eventually put my pride aside and followed her, even got her number and we've been communicating with eachother ever since.
Just flirting and getting to know eachother, we both like eachother and she's fresh out of a relationship so we agreed to take it slow.

After sending my last message I got up and went inside for my keys.
"Whe yah guh?" My father asked as he washed his dishes.
"Aguh pick up somebody and come back."
"Who dat."
"Mi woman." I respond the minute he finished his sentence.
"Gwan and mek sure yuh mek mi see har."
"Just kL nuh pops." Was the last thing I said before making my exist and going to the garage.
I pulled up outside her best friends House, killing the engine as the headlights dimmed. I glanced over at sky sitting next to me in the passenger seat. She was scrolling through her phone, but I could tell she was distracted, her thumb just mindlessly swiping.
A moment later, her best friend stepped out of the house and made her way toward the car. She opened the back of the door and slid in, giving both us both a quick smile before settling into her seat.
