                         Chapter 19

                         Tiony's pov

  It was clear that Gibbanks was tired when he didn't even bother me for sex. I got up early and fixed breakfast for him, Arlem, and myself, and wrapped theirs to go with them. I was going to miss my teacup that I carried with me to class some mornings, but I don't want Arlem to develop a bad stomach on the long drive to Montego Bay, so I filled it with tea and put it beside the bag with their breakfast. Gibbanks set Arlem properly to sleep comfortably on the backseat in his car and gave me a quick kiss before driving out and beeping the horn to Tyrone who had opened the gate for him and was now locking it back.

Having a strong male support along with your family is truly important in a woman's life during pregnancy, and I feel like a weight was lifted from my shoulders just to know Gibbanks has my best interest at heart. I have no idea what the future holds, but I'm going to do my part with an open-minded concept so as to not fall prey in a one-sided relationship. If he wanted to end things after our baby was born, then he was free to go and be with whosoever. I'm not going to be watching, neither keep tracks of his activities, as my body might change, and I won't look that appealing to him anymore.

  My insecurities were getting the better of me, so I stemmed my thoughts and went and studied until it was time to get ready for class. When I got home, I packed my bag that I would be carrying to deliver my baby so that I would only need to add one or two things at the appointed time and I could focus fully on my exams. I felt some terrible cramps that very night, and mommy was worried that I might have a premature baby. Daddy took the day off on the day I was to go and book at the Victoria jubilee hospital, where him and mom preferred me to give birth because of safety measures.

  As usual, women looked at me with admiration just like men. Dad took several pictures of me, and then we asked an expecting mother who we had been talking to, to take a few of us together. Some people looked at me skeptically when they heard me addressed my father as Daddy, I chuckled and whispered, telling him. Good for them. Let them draw up all kinds of speculation in their heads. They should mine their business. It was kind of a long wait to get through the whole procedure, and I was relieved when I was finally done with everything.

  Gibbanks came and took me to do my hopefully last ultrasound and was excited when he learned that I was having a boy. "Aren't you disappointed that you aren't getting a daughter?" I asked him because I thought he would.

"To be honest, I just wanted whatever gender baby to be healthy. We can try for a daughter in the future, right now tek off yuh panty, mi a dead fi yuh pussy." He responds and told me burying his face into my neck.

  His eyes spoke volumes of thirst when he raised his head to kiss me, and I got up from the couch and went inside my bathroom to grab a quick rinse off. I heard his phone ringing, and he went to shower when I exited the bathroom drying off. His phone began to ring again, and I saw Carissa supervisor come up on the screen. I wondered if he had taken the day off or just gave them an excuse not to go to work, but either way, why was the supervisor calling him? He came out of the bathroom and was all over me, but his phone started ringing with the supervisor calling back again, and he answered when I gave him a serious side eye.

"Hello?"

The phone seemed to have hunged up as he answered, and he sat with it between his thighs for a few minutes complaining. "I don't know how some people get certain positions at certain workplaces ino. It's like if mi nuh dey deh dem caan duh dem wuk! Tsk."

He placed his phone on the night table, but the mood was broken, and I shoved away his hand when he tried to touch me intimately. "Sorry bout dat mon, yuh know how di work thing guh." He tells me and lie down beside me.
