Chapter 15Arly's pov
4 days later...
I leaned against the wall and pulled Tiony on me. Shamelessly, I plundered her mouth, uncaring of her uncle and her cousins watching. "Mi put two hundred grand ina yuh bag, next two weeks mi send yuh somn or bring it come gi yuh. All now, yuh still nuh send mi yuh account number." I told her.
"When mi go ina di bus mi send yuh it." She tells me.
Dagger-master went into the bus, and I leaned off the wall with Tiony and gave her her knapsack bag. She waved to her aunty and uncle and went inside the bus. Mattic walked from across the road hastily and stepped in my path as I was about to go to the bus window where Tiony was sitting with her bags. "Road driver." Copper says just as I saw Kimeka came across the road.
I hissed and walked off as the bus began to drive off and hopped up unto the bus step. I hopped off at the four roads and stepped with purpose across the street, knowing without a doubt that Tiony and her cousins were looking behind in the bus. I barely saw Kimeka walking down the road and I felt like waiting on her and give her some fuck lick. I told my mother and André who was out in the yard and slammed my back door hard out of frustration. It wasn't even six, and Kimeka was out on the road, walking me down. For what?
4 hrs later...
• I've reached home safely, and I don't regret anything between us, but I wish you all the best with your babymother. Good luck, summer buddy.•I sat up in my chair and read the text twice, then typed up a text telling Tiony not to bother with assumptions, but it said I was blocked. I tried calling her to no avail, and the rest of my day at work was like pain. I sat alone on the back step in the dark that night, hoping that if I gave her a few days to cool off, then she'd unblocked me and stopped behaving childish. It felt like my gut was falling out, and I seriously felt like just bawling and wallowing on the ground until I got what I wanted. Tiony most likely was feeling away because she saw Kimeka this morning, but doesn't our time together this summer meant anything. If I was in a relationship with Kimeka, would I have her come to my house and sleep?
"Limit mon, you have to set some proper limits or else dat babymadda gonna make you miss out on having a good woman by your side." Daddy says and gave me a package.
"Thanks." I tell him and sigh deeply, running my hand over my face.
I got up and went inside, wondering when he had come outside, because I couldn't recall seeing him come out of his house. Police were searching the area for a missing Rizzla, and I limit my time going over to the weed ground. Rain poured down out of the sky the following morning, and I could almost hear Natty rejoicing. The ground where Rizzla was buried would be compact, and all traces will be washed away for good. We all acted surprised when we were in groups with other men from the community and pretended like we were concerned. Putting up more lights in our yard and avoiding conversations discussed about him kept our names off the suspect list.
A week later, as we sat up by Mattic's gate chilling, Zarro came with a few of Rizzla's brothers and asked to speak with Natty. "Whad up?" Natty asked him.
Cryptonite selected his gun under his sweater, and the domino game was paused immediately. "Di genna dem a ask if yuh nuh have nuh info pon Rizzla. Zarro tells Natty, and his nervousness could be seen from a mile away.
"Suh, him really missing?" Natty asked off handedly, acting as if he hadn't believed.
"Yeah, mon him missing from di same night when police did raid your base." Zarro says.
