A/N about Lieutenants

This chapter was created to discuss the idea I had decided upon for (Y/N)'s lieutenants. I don't know if anyone caught on, but last chapter, I used Genshin's Fatui Harbinger as inspiration.

Do you know what this means? It means we will be adding twelve characters. Well, nine more as three Lieutenants were already introduced.

Let's have a quick discussion about the characters being added. I don't intend to just copy their backstory completely. 

Instead, I will add my own spice to it if you get my meaning. Yeah, I don't know why I used Spice but deal with it. 

Ability-wise, all of them will stay the same to keep things interesting. It will make a certain episode a pain to write but it will be worth it. I'm going to have fun writing the chapter.

Finally, if you're wondering what brought me to this conclusion. We must first discuss what the Lieutenants were supposed to be.

At first glance, you might think that I had this idea since the beginning. But, I did not. I will be honest with my readers, the Lieutenants were nothing more than high-ranking soldiers in (Y/N)'s army. I did have an idea to make them characters but decided not to. 

I truly had no plans for them. It wasn't until I came back after my two-month break. While rereading I remembered that (Y/N) has Lieutenants. 

During the writing process of Chapter 22, an idea came to me. I remembered that Genshin Impact had the 11 Fatui Harbinger. So, once I got to writing the One Week section, an idea came to me. 

I would basically do the same thing with the Lieutenants but instead of 11 Lieutenants, it would be 12 Lieutenants. 

As all of you noticed, Erron Black got a quick backstory while Skarlet didn't. This is because after I finished Erron's backstory, I decided that each lieutenant would get a backstory chapter after the book ends. 

So, not only are you all getting AU chapters, alongside background event chapters, but you will also be getting Backstory chapters for each Lieutenant.

With this being said, I hope you all have a better understanding of my decision. I wanted to make the Lieutenants interesting so I did.
