Chapter XII

Banging noises are heard echoing throughout the Hotel. 

" That looks perfect! Aagh! I'm so excited that Sir Pentious is staying at the Hotel." Charlie was excited as Razzle and Dazzle finished putting up a banner that said ' Happy first week, Sir Penious!'

Vaggie was not as excited. " Um... Pentious was just trying to take over the city with his weird steampunk bullshit a few days ago." 

" Well, I haven't seen him try to pull any of that here," Charlie said. Sir Pentious Egg Bois are spotted riding a giant cannon as Sir Pentious pushes it. 

" What the hell is that?" Vaggie questioned. Sir Pentious greets the girls. 

" Oh, hello, purple female. It's my new invention, the 'Skin Flayer 11,000,'" Sir Pentious informed proudly. 

" I'm really looking forward to shooting the other residents," Sir Pentious said

Charlie freaks out. " What? Why?" 

"Everyone is being too nice. Obviously, it must be a lie. I can sense they are planning to kill me, but when? How? I must be prepared!" Sir Pentious answered, revealing his trust issues. 

Clara and Odette arrive with Sir Pentious's order of weaponry. Sir Pentious's pupils turn into stars, showing his excitement. 

" Ooh, the new parts of my machine are here." Sir Pentious is handed a clipboard requiring his signature. 

" Sign, please," Odette said. Sir Pentious signs without hesitation. 

" Thank you for your business. Enjoy your Carmine and Fallen Industries purchase." Clara and Odette leave the Hotel. 

Vaggie was not happy with Sir Pentious. " Carmine and Fallen Industries? As in Carmilla Carmine and (Y/N) (L/N). You are buying parts from not just one overlord, but TWO!" 

Sir Pentious didn't see the problem with his purchase. He bought it with his money. " Err, of course. They're the top weapons dealers in Hell."

" Okay, well, that stops right now." Vaggie takes away Sir Pentious's weapon order. " Hey!"

" You absolutely cannot build weapons in this Hotel," Vaggie scolded. " No one is trying to kill you. People are being nice because they want you to feel welcome." 

Sir Pentious looks at all the Hotel Residents. Husk is drinking while flipping Sir Pentious off. Angel smirks at Sir Pentious and flips him off. Niffty is staring creepily at Sir Pentious. 

" Hmm. I have my doubts." 

" Well, it's true. You have to trust us," Vaggie said. " But I don't." 

Charlie comes up with today's activity. " Well, why don't we focus on that for today's activities?" 

Vaggie was not going to agree so easily. " Not before we lay some ground rules. No more building weapons, no more plotting against other guests." Vaggie points at the Egg Bois, who are playing with a lethal laser pointer. " And you need to get rid of these things.

The Egg Bois shoot a laser through the roof. Vaggie glares at Sir Pentious. " Ugh! What did I just say? What did I just say?"

" What?" Sir Pentious hugs his Egg Bois with a sad face. " Not my little Egg Bois. They do my evil bidding for me."

" Do you want to stay here and redeem yourself?" Vaggie asked. 

" Yes..." Sir Pentious hesitantly answered.
