A yawn echoes through a bedroom. On the bed, the blanket is moved aside to reveal Vaggie, who's just waking up. Vaggie goes to greet Charlie but finds her missing.

"Charlie?" Vaggie got out of bed, changed, and made her way downstairs. Vaggie was confused about why everyone was seated or leaning on the couch.

Vaggie discovered why Charlie was tuning everything out and focusing on her own thing. As Vaggie got closer, she could hear Charlie's mumbling.

"Don't understand why it's not working. Thick Charlie, think. Think, think, think, think, think, think." Charlie kept mumbling as she swapped things around on her board.

Everyone except Niffty is worried for Charlie, as she hasn't slept yet and seems to be losing her mind. Niffty is being Niffty.

Angel is the first to break the silence. "Yikes." Nathalie can't help but nod as she keeps her son occupied with a coloring book.

"Charlie?... Sweetie, you, uh. You good?" Vaggie asked. Charlie turned around to reveal her crazed look.

"Nope, no! Not really! Haha! I've been up all night trying to figure out why the hotel isn't working. We've done trust fall. We've tried sharing our feelings. Hell, we've even done long lectures. We only have a month left before the angels come." Charlie partially transforms and laughs like a maniac. "And at this rate..."

Vaggie worried for her girlfriend offers a solution. "Maybe it's time..."

Charlie knowing what Vaggie was going to say, immediately gave her answer. "No."

"to ask..."

"Don't say it," Charlie grabbed Vaggie's cheeks in an attempt to stop her but it wasn't going to cut it.

"your dad." Charlie groans loudly. Vaggie holds Charlie's hand as she starts explaining her solution. "Charlie, I know you don't want to, but we need every advantage we can get."

"He let the extermination happen to begin with. They just had a meeting and said, 'Go ahead and kill everyone!'" Charlie gasps in realization.

"Wait. That's it."

Vaggie was confused. "Kill everyone?"

"No. He could get me a meeting with Heaven." Vaggie couldn't help but start worrying. While Lucifer could get Charlie a meeting with Heaven, it is unlikely that they'll listen. The Heavenly Court is a tough one to convince.

"Didn't we already try that?" Vaggie reminded Charlie of her meeting 5 months ago.

"Well, yeah, with Adam, he was an asshole. And the other angel with him was creepy, to say the least." Charlie recalled how close Lute stuck to (Y/N) during the meeting. "But he isn't in charge of all of Heaven. We could go to the top! There's sure to be some angel who will listen.

As Charlie takes her phone out to call her father, Vaggie is having an inner conflict. On one hand, Vaggie wants to do everything she can to help her girlfriend out with her goal. On the other hand, Vaggie is scared of stepping foot into Heaven again.

Charlie stopped on her father's contact as she was having second thoughts. Husk who noticed the hesitation can't help but comment his thoughts. "What's the hold-up? You got daddy issues?"

"No, we just have never been close. After he and Mom split, he never really wanted to see me," Charlie explained painfully. "He calls... sometimes, but only if he's bored or like, needs me to do something."
