After a few hours of hard work, Matt finally completed his weapon design project. He sat back, satisfied with the outcome. Smiling to himself, he announced, "Ta-dah!"
The group, who had been talking amongst themselves, turned their attention to Matt and his newly designed weapon.
Aris raised an eyebrow, looking impressed. "Looks good, man. Can you give us a demo?"
Matt's face lit up at their request, his excitement evident. "Sure thing!"
He grabbed the weapon, his hands running affectionately along its surface.
"This baby is a beast," he boasted. "Improved durability, easier handling, and significantly increased range. Just watch this."
Matt aimed the weapon at a nearby target, taking a deep breath to steady his focus. Then, with a swift movement, he fired a shot. The bullet tore through the air and hit the target effortlessly, cleanly piercing the center.
The others watched in awe, their eyes wide with admiration.
Hugo whistled appreciatively. "Wow, man, that's some serious firepower. I would not want to be on the receiving end of that."
Matt's face beamed with pride at their compliments. "Yeah, this thing packs a punch. It's gonna be a valuable asset out there."
Thomas nodded, his gaze fixed on the weapon. "It certainly is. Can I try?"
Matt handed the weapon to Thomas, a smirk on his face.
"Be my guest. Just don't blow yourself up or something."
As Thomas took the weapon from Matt, the others backed away, giving him some space to test it out. They all watched as he aimed at the target, his eyes focused and his grip steady.
He slowly squeezed the trigger, and another bullet flew out, hitting the target with accuracy.
Thomas lowered the weapon, a satisfied smile on his face. "Damn, this thing is incredible. Lightweight, easy to handle, and damn accurate. Good job, Matt."
Matt preened at the praise, clearly enjoying the attention. He gave Thomas a thumbs-up. "Thanks, man. It took some time, but I think I've finally nailed it."
Vicky piped up, a mischievous glint in her eye. "So, does this new weapon have a name yet?"
Matt's expression turned thoughtful for a moment. "No, not yet. Any suggestions?"
Hugo chimed in, a mock-serious tone in his voice. "How about The Crankinator?"
Aris burst out laughing at Hugo's suggestion. "The Crankinator? Seriously, dude?"
Hugo shrugged, a smirk playing on his lips. "What? It sounded cool in my head."
Aris shook his head, still chuckling. "Yeah, real cool. Might want to think of something a bit more... intimidating, maybe?"
Matt tapped his finger against his chin, contemplating the suggestions.
"Well, we want something badass, something that'll make the Cranks think twice before messing with us," he mused.
Thèrèse smirked, an idea forming in her mind. "How about 'The Ravager'? It's got a nice ring to it, and it's fitting. You said it yourself, it's gonna pack a punch and rip through those Cranks like they're nothing."
As Thèrèse and Bea rejoined the group after a brief departure, the rest of the group cast curious glances at them.
Thomas spotted them first, a playful smirk on his face. "Well, look who decided to show up again. Where were you two, sneaking off for some secret cake adventure?"
