happy birthday, Thèrèse Jewels and Percy Jackson!★
As the sun began to peek over the horizon, casting warm hues across the sky, the morning air was filled with a mixture of sorrow and celebration.
It was a bittersweet day - a day to remember Newt's sacrifice and the impact he had on their lives. At the same time, it was Thèrèse's special day, a day to celebrate her life and the joy she brought to those around her.
The group came together, the atmosphere somewhat somber as they gathered to remember their fallen family.
However, the air also held a touch of happiness for Thèrèse's birthday. There were nods, handshakes, and hugs exchanged as the group paid their respects to Newt's memory.
Teresa stood beside Thèrèse, her hand offering silent support as they mourned together.
Despite the conflicting feelings, she sought solace in Thèrèse's presence. She leaned her head against hers, her voice a gentle whisper. "Today is a day of contradictions, Thèrèse. Remembering Newt's sacrifice while celebrating you. It's bittersweet, isn't it?"
Thèrèse wrapped her arm around Teresa, offering comfort and understanding. "Yes," she replied softly. "It's a beautiful and painful day. Remembering Newt's sacrifice, his bravery, his loyalty... it hurts. But celebrating my birthday with you all, with you, it feels so very right."
The Safe Haven was alive with activity as everyone worked together to prepare for Newt's ceremonial funeral anniversary. Decorations were hung, chairs were set up, and a sense of anticipation filled the air.
Teresa and Thèrèse worked side by side, their hands busily arranging flower bouquets and ensuring that everything was in its place. Despite the task at hand, their conversation was lighthearted and nostalgic.
As they arranged the flowers, Teresa couldn't resist sharing a memory. "You know, I remember when we were in WCKD, Newt would always find a way to make me laugh, even in the darkest of times."
She looked at Thèrèse, her eyes distant with nostalgia. "He had this ability to lift the mood, even when everything else seemed hopeless. I miss him."
Meanwhile, Nancy and Sonya were setting up a small photo memorial, their movements filled with a silent sorrow.
Every picture they placed held memories of their brother, and the pain was written on their faces.
Nancy looked up from the photo she was setting up and caught Thèrèse's eye. A gentle smile tugged at her lips. "Hey, Thèrèse. Thanks for helping with the preparations."
Thèrèse returned the smile, her tone soft and sincere. "Of course. This is important to me too."
She walked over to the memorial area where Nancy and Sonya were working on the photo memorial. Her eyes scanned the photos, putting her hand on Nancy's shoulder.
"He's got a smile that could light up a room in every single one of these," Thèrèse said quietly. "He was really loved."
The sun beamed on Safe Haven, casting a warm glow over the surroundings.
Spring had arrived, breathing life into the lush greenery of the island. Flowers burst into full bloom, their vibrant colors painting the landscape with splashes of cheerfulness. The trees swayed gently in the breeze, their leaves rustling softly in an almost soothing melody.
And in the background, the towering mountains stood proud, their snowy peaks providing a majestic backdrop to the beauty below.
Thèrèse stood amongst the flora, her eyes taking in the breathtaking scenery. She took a deep breath, inhaling the fresh, fragrant air that carried the scent of new beginnings.
