With Bea unconscious, Aris, Teresa and Thèrèse quickly abandoned their original mission to gather information. Their only priority now was to keep her safe.
They quickly packed up the essentials and lifted Bea, holding her gently between them as they carefully made their way out of the WCKD facility.
They moved as quietly and quickly as they could, trying to avoid any soldiers or guards who might be patrolling the halls. Bea's body felt limp and unresponsive, her head lolling to the side as they carried her.
Thèrèse was in the lead, scouting the path ahead to ensure they wouldn't run into any trouble. Teresa and Aris followed behind, carrying Bea between them.
They hurried through the dimly lit corridors, their footsteps echoing softly against the sterile surroundings.
Thèrèse kept a wary eye out for any signs of WCKD personnel, while Teresa and Aris focused on carrying Bea, who was still unconsciousness.
Finally, they reached the exit of the facility. Thèrèse pushed open the door, and they were outside in the cool night air.
They breathed a collective sigh of relief as they exited the facility, the cool night air feeling refreshing against their skin. Aris looked down at Bea, who was still unconscious in their arms.
"What do we do now?" he asked, looking to Thèrèse.
They hurried across the city towards the harbor, Bea's limp body still held gingerly between them. Their hearts were racing as they ran, looking for any signs of pursuit, but thankfully the streets were dark and deserted.
Finally, they made it to the harbor and saw the ship waiting at the dock. Thomas, Gally, Minho, Frypan, Prim, Vivian, Vincent, and Jorge were all gathered there, waiting anxiously.
"What happened?" Thomas demanded as soon as he saw them, his eyes widening at the sight of the unconscious Bea.
The others gathered around them, concern etched on their faces. "Is she okay?" Prim asked, worry in her voice.
"We don't know," Aris answered grimly. "She just passed out. We don't know what happened, but something triggered her."
The group exchanged worried looks as they gently laid Bea down on the deck of the ship. Frypan put a hand on her forehead, checking her temperature.
"She's burning up," Frypan said, concern in his voice. "We need to get her somewhere safe and warm."
Minho and Gally exchanged a look, their faces tightening with worry. They had seen their fair share of the Flare and could only hope that this wasn't the start of something much worse.
Meanwhile, Thomas was pacing back and forth, his mind racing with thoughts.
Thomas quickly reached for the walkie-talkie, urgently calling for the rest of their friends who were out on the mission. "Brenda, Nancy, Harriet, Sonya, come in," he said urgently. "We need you back at the harbor immediately. We have an emergency."
The replies came in rapidly, filled with tension and worry. "We hear you. What's happening? Is everyone okay?" Brenda asked.
Harriet's voice chimed in, "Please tell us you're all alright."
Thomas's voice was tense as he filled them in on the situation. "Bea passed out suddenly. She's unconscious and burning up. We don't know what happened, but something triggered her."
There was a moment of silence on the other end before Brenda spoke up again. "We're heading back now. Should be there in ten minutes."
"Roger that," Thomas replied, a hint of relief in his voice.
