Jennie's POV

At dinner, all of her family is here, even the Prime Minister and his family. They warmly welcomed me. Alena even requested if she can stay with me and Lisa. And of course, how can we say no to this cute little bunny? Lisa carried Alena on her other arm and intertwined her other hand to mine. So we walked, greeted everyone, Lisa introducing me to her family.

Lisa said she was tired so we stayed at a corner to take a little rest from talking to people. We are sitting on the couch playing with Alena when someone approaches us.

"You three look like a wonderful family."

"Grandpa! You're back!" Lisa and Alena said enthusiastically and stood up to hug him. I just smiled and waited for them to introduce me to their grandpa.

"So who is this pretty lady we have here?" Her grandfather asked. Lisa was about to introduce me but Alena beat her to it.

"Grandpa, this is Jennie Unnie. She's my idol, she's a great singer and a wonderful person. She's Lisa's future wife." She said quickly, "Oh God she will be our family too, I am family with my idol. How great is that!" She squealed while we just laughed at her cuteness.

"So is that true? Are you two engaged?" He looked at me and Lisa back and forth.

"No grandpa. At least not yet." Lisa said.

"I didn't know Lisa is so slow with women." He teased Lisa.

"Grandpa, it's Jennie, it's worth all the wait." Lisa answered.

"It should be. To be honest I am afraid of how invested Lisa is to you Ms. Jennie, but we can't teach our heart on who to love right? She's most likely to lose herself when things don't go well with the two of you." His grandfather said.

"Grandpa." Lisa said with a warning tone. "Don't worry about it Jen, you can decide with everything, I will be okay whichever it will be." Lisa squeezed my hand that she's holding.

"Anyway, welcome to the family Jennie and just please call me grandpa too like everyone here. Please enjoy the dinner and I hope you and Lisa can visit me here more often." Her grandfather said.

"I will surely make time for that grandpa." I smiled and gave him a hug.

"Well thank you Jennie please drag this granddaughter of mine with you. She's such a workaholic that she always forgets to visit me." We just laughed and he bid his goodbye so he could greet the others too.

Lisa's father went to the stage and surprised me when he announced that I am her daughter in law. The other members of the family looked at me flustered.

"I thought you have a thing with Alice here, you've been so close since your college days and even now. I expect her to be the daughter in law." One of her aunts said that.

Alice? She's here? I looked around to see someone who's really familiar with me. Is she a family? Alice, what are you doing here? And why I feel the same sting I felt when I met her. Should I be really worried and jealous of her?

"Yeah, I also thought that they're even so sweet and so caring to each other. I never knew we are just getting a mere idol to marry the heir of this family." Said by one of her uncles.

Lisa brushed my leg and squeezed it.

"She probably seduced her. Our poor Lisa." Someone said so too.

What is this? Why do I feel so low in front of everyone? I looked at Lisa and saw her creasing her brow and she looked so red from repressing her anger too much.

She slapped the table and stood up.

"How could you speak to my future wife like that?! Like I am not in front of you?! How disrespectful of you -

"Lisa sit down, they're elders, you should respect them, us." One of her uncles cuts her.

"Shut up! It's funny how you talked about respect when you people don't know how to respect me and Jennie. A respect should be earned and should not be given easily just because you're an elder." Lisa said angrily.

"Lisa, stop now and you three, should apologize to my future daughter in law. And we will talk later, I didn't raise you to be disrespectful to people. You always stain my name." Grandpa said. They just said their apology but without sincerity.

"Jennie, I am truly sorry about this. I am to blame for their lack of maturity." Grandpa said,

"It's okay grandpa I understand." I weakly said.

"No. It will never be okay." I just pulled Lisa to sit and she just followed.

"Lisa." Her father called her.

"Fine! I'll stop now but everyone should know that this will never be okay. Disrespect Jennie again and I will do anything and everything against you." Lisa said firmly and with finality still mad with the situation. I still feel scared and embarrassed but I am very thankful to Lisa for protecting me against her family. This means a lot to me.

"Let's just eat and finish dinner. And that's an order." Grandpa said.

Lisa was called by her grandpa and father to talk. While I was left here with her uncle, the Prime Minister and his family.

"Jennie, we are truly sorry about what happened. And Lisa is right, this should not be okay, that three are my siblings and have always been so immature. I, myself and my father don't know how to handle them anymore." The Prime Minister sincerely said.

"It's not your fault uncle and I am just truly thankful for Lisa as she stood up for me." I said.

"That woman is truly incredible. I admire her a lot. I am also thankful to her for saving me from that abduction. She also cares a lot about my family and of course Alena. I know she will be a good partner to you and a parent to your future kids." He said.

"She will be a great partner and a parent that's for sure." I smiled at him. I looked at his family and imagined mine with Lisa.
