— My lady, we are suffering too many casualties. —

The voice of an officer under Hachi's command expressed the harsh reality with concern. The Mossy defenses under the command of Sun Quang and with Sun Ren's elite archers, were massacring the Deep Nest troops without quarter. Hachi herself looked straight ahead while gritting her teeth, but still, without giving any order. What the hell was I waiting for? It was what everyone around him was wondering.

Hornet was in a similar situation, or perhaps worse. His troops had lost momentum, and now a colossal war line had formed between weavers and mossers. And right in the center, she and the imposing warrior named Sun Ce, fought a singular duel.

The warrior was as agile as he was powerful, to the point that such a combination seemed impossible. Even carrying only his great sword, he was able to dodge the weaver's needle, as well as her hidden daggers or kunai that she occasionally threw. The cloth he produced to throw traps and his own needle were not enough, as the warrior stood firm no matter the challenges.

If this continued, they would not be able to achieve victory, but the only thing they could do at that moment was to try to defeat their opponent in front, and continue advancing. But that seemed to be impossible at that time. Then, the moment had arrived.

- General! We have problems! —

The voice of a moss caught the attention of Sun Ce, who took advantage of a slight pause to know what was happening.

- What happen!? - The warrior shouted.

—It's the Crimson Path! The situation at the main gate is critical! —

Sun Ce gritted his teeth. How was that even possible? It shouldn't have happened so soon. His father was there and he knew he could take care of the problem. Still, he couldn't help but feel worried, as he looked towards the east, towards the imposing towers that could be seen on the horizon, but whose location he was not able to define. But before he was even able to make a decision, his instincts forced him to retreat suddenly, when Hornet's needle slammed into the ground and almost fatally pierced him.

The weaver took advantage of the moment of doubt to launch a rapid succession of attacks, which Sun Ce dodged with difficulty, to the point of making him retreat much further than he had recovered, and now, only a few steps separated them from the border of the wall. , and behind Hornet's back, there was a huge hole in the moss formation, which the weavers did not waste in claiming.

Doubt had played against Sun Ce, and now his own strategy was in danger. He looked at the weaver who challenged him, and he couldn't help but notice the smile on her face. A smile driven by his desire for battle and victory.

—It seems like you're not going to let me go. — Sun Ce commented.

— I see no reason to do so. — Hornet responded defiantly.

—Very well... I guess I'll have to take you seriously. —

Sun Ce's words seemed to be simply speculation, but nothing could be further from the truth. The general swung his swords senselessly, and a sharp sound alerted the weaver suddenly. Hornet watched with concern as the serrated sections of Sun Ce's sword split apart, dancing around him more like a whip than a sword. Its reach had doubled. And his mortality was catapulted to the heavens. Hornet's smile faded from her face, knowing that her opponent had only been testing her until that moment. A mistake from now on, it was something that could not happen.

On the other side of the front, Hachi smiled excitedly, when those she had been waiting for so long had finally arrived. Red flares fell from the ceiling of the caverns, announcing to all their allies of their presence, and to their enemies that something terrible was about to happen. And it was no wonder, because right behind those scarlet clouds, thousands of weavers fell from the heights, using their own nets as an improvised parachute. And right in front of everyone, possibly the greatest Warrior that the depths of the abyss have spawned.
