Night was already beginning to fall over the passages of Hallownest, and daylight was beginning to slip over the horizon. The evening air was cold and constant, a product of the storm that shook the outside of the underground kingdom. The humidity rose considerably, and the roar of lightning shook all the passages, frightening the smallest of the homes.

The constant rain saturated the land, and all of Hallowntes was covered in a constant rain similar to the City of Tears. Starting in the areas close to the surface such as Bocamatsu and Sendero Verde, and gradually falling to the deepest places of the kingdom. A natural process, which kept the Blue Lake itself always abundant and crystalline.

Ghost was at home, sitting on the table, eating the delicious food that Kaede cooked so well. A delight for any palate. Too bad the sense of taste was something Ghost lost a long time ago.

— Come with us? Are you serious? —The ghost asked his companion.

- Yeah. I'm already tired of being locked up in this city. I need to go out, stretch my legs. And let's see if the gossipy neighbors next door leave me alone for a while. — Ghost listened, but did not intervene. —Do you know what they told me the other day? They hadn't seen my husband in a week. What if there was a problem. —

Ghost stopped eating for a moment, and an expression of utter confusion came over him as he looked at the hunter's daughter.

- Husband? Did you get married? —He asked amazed.

— Not genius. I'm not married... — She said with irony and a poker face.

—So... Who were they talking about? —

— They were talking about you... brainiac. — Ghost was thoughtful for several seconds.

—But... I'm not your husband. —

— Ghost... it's just one of those gossips... You know what? Forget it... Don't think about it too much or your brain will shut down. —

—That doesn't make sense. —

—And you have no sense of irony. Anyway... I'm going with you... So I'll see a little of Deep Nest. —

- Alright. Just don't do anything crazy. —

The young woman celebrated her victory, as if that were even a discussion. Ghost didn't have the character to contradict her, but she seemed to enjoy those small, meaningless victories. Once they finished eating, they prepared their things for the trip and headed to Captain Yamato's house.

Outside the residence was old Fenegal's wagon, and the road deer rested in the stables. Fenegal was sitting in the guest room with the rest of the family, the servants and Khan Hachi, who listened with concern to the stories that the merchant told them about the tense situation in Deep Nest. Hopefully, his return would be a relief for everyone. However, their gazes rose before the two newcomers, and their eyes showed worrying curiosity when they saw the large young woman who was accompanying Ghost at that moment.

—Ah, Ghost-sama, welcome. We were waiting for your arrival. —

— Thank you very much, Captain Yamato. We hope not to interrupt. —

— Don't interrupt anything, Ghost-sama — commented Shui, the captain's wife. —And who accompanies him? —

— Greetings to all. My name is Lü Kaede. A pleasure. —

—She will accompany us to Deep Nest. —

- Well. The more the better. —Old Fenegal commented.

—Lü? Like... Lü Bu... The great general? — Yamato asked, somewhat curious.
