—Hornet-dono—In the halls of Deep Nest's palace, the voice of a foreign insect stopped the weaver's walk.

—Kaede-dono, Bretta-dono. They have to leave the kingdom immediately. I'll tell an escort that the...

-No. —The beetle's voice stopped her. —We want to help. If there is any way to do it, please tell us.

Hornet looked at both women with a mixture of surprise and bewilderment. Why would foreigners want to intervene in the kingdom's problems? Much more problems of this type. Even so...

—I don't know how they could help. We have to know where Hachi and Ghost-dono are. And if something happens to General Sun Ce it could cause a break in diplomatic relations. Demons! Why did this have to happen now!?

The weaver tenses and clenches her teeth in helplessness. His gaze wanders for a moment over the dark floor, while his mind fills with frustration. Everything finally seemed to be falling into place somehow. Why did this happen? What did he do wrong? Hornet's moment of self-blame was interrupted, however, when a large hand rested on his shoulder.

The weaver looked up, still with clenched teeth and a frown, and focused her gaze on Kaede's six pairs of eyes, who did her best to return a firm but hopeful look.

—Everything is going to be fine. Somehow. I'll go find Ghost and his sister. Let Bretta go with you. He knows how to heal wounds and field surgery.

Hornet looks back at him for a few seconds, still doubtful of such a decision, but lacking options and the strength to oppose it, she simply lowered her head and focused her gaze on the beetle. Who, although nervous, did her best to show some courage.

"I'll do my best...Princess Hornet."

The Khan finally gives in to decisions that did not belong to her, and lets out a long sigh in emotional defeat. She looks up and nods, still not entirely convinced. Kaede was still Lü Bu's daughter. If something were to happen to him, Deep Nest could be doomed.

On the other hand, Kaede herself did not wait another second, and ran towards the darkness of the palace, disappearing from both of their sights like a ghost in the darkness of the night. Without leaving any trace... trace... or shadow. Hornet took a second breath, now focusing his gaze on Bretta, who remained at his side. His look said a lot, things that were not necessary to explain with words. Difficult times were approaching, but Bretta did not back down from the gesture. No matter how much his wobbly legs told him to run for his life.

-Come on. We must warn the rest of the guard.

—I'm coming after you, Hornet-sama.

Meanwhile, racing against the tide of panicked civilians, General Sun Ce and his guard moved deeper and deeper into the city. Two of his guards were in front, with their shields raised, pushing away the tide of bugs. Some crashed into them and fell, but they couldn't stop to help them... Not in this crisis. More so, when a huge figure emerged from the War Room followed by a numerous entourage of weavers covered in jet-black black women.

—¡Matriarca Herrah!

The great weaver stops for a moment, and sees the warrior approaching at a fast pace. They stop for a moment, something they would not do if it were not for their current possible economic and nutritional dependence. But that didn't remove the frown from his face.

-General. I'm afraid I don't have time to talk to you right now. The affairs of the kingdom press my time. I ask you to leave the city and... and return to Sendero Verde if necessary.

Sun Ce finally stopped a few steps away from the matriarch, but his elite force of black weavers would not allow him to get too close. Not in this crisis. Not by a foreigner. However, neither this gesture nor the anger on the great weaver's face would calm her warrior spirit.
