'You mean to tell me you don't know about the deadly exterminations the Alline are responsible for?' Haruko asked, sounding bewildered. I shake my head and feel a hint of concern from the word deadly. 'no... I don't, what do you mean?' I ask. Haruko's jaw fully drops then. Cyrus clears his throat and speaks up 'once a decade, the Alline will find a new world to destroy. They will wipe out the whole population of the world and destroy it for no reason.' I see Andy freeze up and his mouth goes slightly agape, same with Amelia. 'Wipe out... Destroy?..' those three words keep repeating in my head like a broken record. Cyrus sees our shocked looks 'wait, you seriously didn't know?' he asks as he tilts his head in confusion. Amelia takes a deep breath and I can tell she's fighting off a lot of emotions. 'so..the stories weren't myths?.. worlds like Tearlize really existed!?' she asks. Cyrus nods. 'yes! You thought they were myths?' he asks, and we all nod. The realization really starts to hit me and I speak up in a shaky voice 'so... The people we have looked up to, the people we swore we would never betray...are monsters?' I ask. Cyrus pauses for a moment but nods. 'i guess you could look at it like that...yeah.' That's when it fully hits me, the people that I've looked up to, the people I wanted to work for...were sadistic's who destroyed many, many worlds. I completely freeze and I look like a deer in headlights. I noticed Amelia and Andy have the same reaction. Navie looks at both Cyrus and haruko before looking back at us. 'do...do any of you want a hug? I'm sure this is a lot to take in.' I see Amelia nod instantly. Navie walks over to her and pulls her into a hug and rubs her back to soothe her, as me and Andy continue to stand there like we've seen a ghost. Cyrus sighs before walking over to me and patting my back. 'I'm sorry you had to find out like this...' he says. I shake my head and force myself to speak normally 'No, I'm sorry. The people from my world are causing chaos without a second thought. You just opened my eyes to that..' Cyrus sighs and pulls me into a hug. 'i wish I didn't have to' he mutters quietly just enough for me to hear it. I hug him back and bury my head into his shoulder with only one thought echoing my head 'i'll put a stop to those exterminations... I will, even if it kills me'
