I am awoken at 4AM to Amelia shaking my shoulders, aggressively I might add. I sit up while rubbing my eyes 'the fuck do you want?' I ask, still half asleep. She removes her hands from my shoulders and I notice her hands trembling ever so slightly. 'i heard something outside! It was like a cry or a really, really loud scream.' Hearing her panicked voice made me ever so slightly concerned. I stand up and walk over to my window to have a look. 'well I don't see anyth-' before I can even finish, I hear a gut-wretching scream. I go completely still and quiet and Amelia runs over to me and clings onto my arm for dear life. After the screaming stops, I stay quiet for a moment before speaking 'uh- maybe it was the wind..?' I whisper quietly, trying to convince myself that everything is fine but I said it loud enough for Amelia to hear. She looks at me and snaps back 'The wind doesn't scream, Aiden. Like hell I'm believing that bullshit!' I can't really say I don't blame her. I just wish she was at least a tad bit gullible, so then she wouldn't just accept her impending doom-which isn't impending at all. I sigh 'have you told Andy about it?' she nods. 'yeah he's gone out to have a look for it.' I pause and look at her. 'hes gone outside.. to where that storage screaming sound is..by himself?' I ask, a hint of concern in my voice. She nods 'Mhm!' I sigh and pinch the bridge of my nose 'god of course he did.. that idiot!' I think to myself. I look at her again. 'c'mon, we should go help him.' she seems incredibly reluctant but her pride stops her from refusing 'oh...okay.' I smile slightly and I walk out of my room with her still clinging onto my arm. We walk to the front door and I open it and step outside-well to what I thought was outside... Instead.. I step out to a dark, deep void and fall into it with Amelia. She screams in terror as we fall..down and down.
