After a little break we start walking again. I'm a lot more alert now since there are Alline spies around watching us. Tho I noticed Haruko acting a bit off? He's kinda..acting like a child and Navie is just going along with it. I walk over to them and tap Navie on the shoulder to get her attention. 'hey, uh- Navie? Why is Haruko acting like that?' I ask, silently hoping it doesn't sound rude. Navie hums slightly and sighs 'he has DID, a personality disorder. One of his personalities is a little kid.. so he's having an episode now' she responds. I widen my eyes 'what happened in his life that caused him to cope by having alternative personalities?!' I think to myself 'Oh- is it like...cause of trauma or..' I ask and Navie nods. 'its cause of trauma, yeah' she says and I nod. I look over to him and see him looking at birds on a tree like they are the most magical things ever. I give Navie a glance as if silently asking if I can go up to him, and she nods. I walk over to him and he notices me and points to the birds as we continue to walk. 'look! Pretty birds!' he says, his tone filled with child-like wonder. I smile softly and chuckle. 'yes, very pretty birds indeed.' he smiles and starts to skip instead of walking as he looks around and he's humming a tune to himself, it sounds like a lullaby of sorts. I smile softly and continue to walk, I can't help but wonder what he has gone through to have a trauma response like this... 'Look, look!' he says to me, which pulls me out of my thoughts. I look over to where he's pointing and he's pointing to many butterflies. I smile softly and walk up to him. 'you like the butterflies?' I ask softly. He smiles and nods 'butterflies pretty!' he pauses before speaking again 'pretty like you!' I smile softly. 'aw thank you..' I say in response. He smiles and giggles happily and continues to skip along. Tho he slows down and goes back to me and looks at me 'Question!' he says with a smile. I smile and nod. 'sure, what is it?' I ask. He hums slightly and seems almost scared. He fidgets with his fingers and says it in a more quiet tone but still with the same child-like tone. 'you won't leave me right?..like how mama and papa did..' that makes my brain stop in its place. 'holy shit.. this poor boy' I think to myself. I smile softly and shake my head. 'i won't leave you.. I promise' I say. He smiles slightly and holds out his pinky for a pinky promise. I smile and chuckle slightly and give him a pinky promise. He smiles and pulls his hand away and grabs my hand and continues to skip along with me while singing a nursery rhyme. I smile and chuckle and skip alongside him and sing along with him
'Hush little baby, don't say a word.'
'Mama's gonna buy you a mockingbird, and if that mockingbird won't sing, Mama's gonna buy you a diamond ring'
'and if that diamond ring turns brass, Mama's gonna buy you a looking glass
'and if that looking glass gets broke Mama's gonna buy you a billy goat'
'and if that billy goat falls over, Mama's gonna buy you a dog named Rover.'
'and if that dog named Rover won't bark, Mama's gonna buy you a horse and a cart's
'and if that horse and cart turn around, you'll still be the sweetest baby in town!'
We both continue to skip alongside each other and sing. Navie and Cyrus notices and smiles and laughs slightly, I notice Cyrus blushing slightly and Navie gives him a knowing smile which he just shoots her a glare for. I smile and chuckle slightly before going back to singing with Haruko. I don't know what caused him to have DID but I will sure ass hell will make him happy during his episodes. Poor boy has gone through enough already.
