After the fire, Atlas was all alone. No one wanted to take him in, because he was autistic, in Libertad they want children that will be protagies in the future, and no one thought atlas could be a said protagy.

Atlas starts walking through a forest, looking for a type of food he could eat, or just anything in general. As he's walking, he notices the sky darken and snow start to fall. He starts to get more worried, since he is still just wearing the T-shirt and shorts he wore to sleep the night before, it's not like he has anymore clothes. They were all burnt. Just like his family. As time progresses, he progressively feels more and more cold. He starts to shiver and his teeth starts to chatter. He sits down under a tree and cups his hands to his mouth and starts to blow warm air onto his hands, to try to at least warm up his hands. Not like it will do anything, but he's trying at least. He curls himself up into a ball, with his knees to his chest, in a little ball. As time starts to pass by, he feels a wave of tiredness hit him, it's either cold, or just plain exhaustion. He fights off sleep, trying to stay awake for as long as he can. Tho, sleep does eventually catch up to him, and he falls into a deep slumber

When Atlas awoke, the first thing he noticed, was that he definitely wasn't in the forest anymore, unless someone built a house around it in a day. When he figures that out he wakes up with a start and quickly sits up. He frantically looks around the room, it's nicely lit, with a large lamp in the corner. There is a large rug in the ground, he seems to be laying down on a bed, he assumes. He looks around the room and he sees a man in the corner, sitting down and watching him. Atlas looks at him, and speaks in a quiet, scared tone. 'w-who are you...?' he says. The man smiles friendly, and speaks in a friendly tone. 'don't be afraid, little one. I'm not going to hurt you.' the man stands up and walks over and sits down on the bed beside Atlas. 'my name is Ajax, Ajax harris, what's your name?' he asks. Atlas nods. 'my name's Atlas, Atlas carter.' he says. 'Atlas' Ajax repeats quietly, as if trying to commit the name to memory. 'i-if you don't mind me asking, Mr Harris. Where am I exactly?' he asks. Ajax smiles. 'you're in an Alline base. One of our soldiers found you and took you here.' he says. Atlas nods. 'ah, I see.' Ajax nods 'may I ask why you were out there? Do you not have a home, or a family?' he asks. Atlas shakes his head. 'no, I don't have either now...', he says, his tone getting more quiet. Ajax makes a "tch" noise. 'that's no good... I'm sorry to hear that.' he says. Atlas nods. There's silence for a moment before Ajax speaks again. 'say, you can stay here with us.' he starts. 'but there's a condition.' he says. Atlas perks up and nods. 'yeah, sure. What's the condition?' he asks. Ajax nods. 'you can stay with us, if you train with us, and do what you're told. Understand?' he says. Atlas pauses. Apart of him, the smart part, is telling him it's a bad idea, that he shouldn't listen to a random stranger that he just met. But it's a stranger that saved him from possible death. He nods. 'okay. I'll do that'
