Chapter 22

I LOVE YOU

People are dancing so sweet. The slow music resounded in my ears. There are couples, kahit nga ang may mga edad na ay tuwang tuwa habang nagsasayaw.

Fonso and Sheena are done dancing.  Kanina ay sila ang pinag piyestahan ng host at ng mga tao.

They look so sweet but there's something bothers me. I cannot move on from what I saw. The sparks in their eyes tells me that they know each other for a long time.

And I'm scared .

I  stood at the edge of the dance floor, a cocktail in hand, watching Travus and Sheena dance together. Their movements were graceful, synchronized, as if they were in perfect harmony with each other and the music. I couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy mixed with curiosity as she observed them.

Why am I feeling this?

Lately, though, I had started to notice a shift  feelings towards him. It was more than what we wanted , I realized, though I hadn't fully admitted it to myself until now. Watching him with Sheena tonight, seeing how they moved together so effortlessly, stirred something deep within myself. that I couldn't ignore.

I took a sip of my drink, trying to quell the emotions bubbling up inside

It's funny how I admired Sheena– her confidence, her wit, and her ability to light up any room she entered.

I smiled bitterly.

I had never considered myself the jealous type, but seeing Sheena and Travus together made her question everything she thought she knew about herself.

"Why does this bother me so much?"

I murmured , My  gaze fixed on the pair across the dance floor. I couldn't deny the pang of longing that tugged at My heart, the desire to be the one dancing with Travus, feeling his hand in mine and his smile lighting up his face.

They look so perfect.

Nagbago ang tutog.

"Mind if I have this dance"

Napalingon ako sa lalaking ngayon ay nasa harapan ko. He was wearing a gold mask.

His not familiar.

I smiled, ignoring the fact that I should just wait in here and support Travus if the lights out.

"Yeah, sure"

The man smiled sweetly. He offered his hands. I accepted it.

The music is sweet and low.

We starts dancing.

"Beneath those mask, I know you're beautiful "

Natawa ako ng bahagya.

"Thank you"

I felt someone staring at me. Hindi na ako nag abalang hanapin pa kung sino.

The man that I wanted look at me was now busy dancing with the most beautiful woman tonight.

I was about to speak when suddenly the lights out.

Mabilis na humiwalay ako sa kasayaw ko.

The squeaks and shouts of people filled my ears. Kabisado ko na ang lugar kaya naman mabilis lang akong nakalabas.

My eyes are roaming outside. I was looking for Travus.  Alam kong magkasama silang dalawa. Katulad ng nasa plano.  Travus will take Sheena to the shore and I am sure that the back up of the organization was now waiting for us.

The thought of them together just sent me unexplainable heartaches.

Agad kong iniiling ang ulo ko.

I should focus on this mission!
