Chapter 26

STILL MINE

"OH? ANO NGAYON DITO?"

I looked at him with my raised brow. I saw how annoyed he was by my question.

"I looked for you , 2 years till now tapos yan lang ang sasabihin mo?"

Asik niya habang mahigpit ang hawak sa manubela.

"Ano dapat ba akong matuwa? Ano bang gusto mong sabihin ko? "

"Aww talaga? Hinanap mo ako thank you sa pag gamit at pag iwan saakin ha"

"Ganyan ba?"

Kita ko ang pagdilim ng mga mata niya. He was pissed, at talagang siya pa ang may ganang magalit?!

Inirapan ko siya bago hawakan ang handle ng kotse niya.  Napapikit ako ng mariin ng naka lock iyon.

"Unlock it"

Utos ko habang masamang nakatingin sakanya. He just stares at me blankly.

"Tangina buksan mo!"

Sigaw ko dahil ayokong makasama siya dito. I hate his presence, his stares , his gestures and everything about him! I hate him!

"Where did that madness come from?" He ask, bewildered.

Napanganga ako sa tanong niya.

"Tell me coz I'm confused"

"Confused? E gago ka pala! Iniwan mo ako! You used me tapos tatanungin mo ako kung bakit ako galit?!"

He looks confused, his brow furrowed as he tries to grasp what’s happening. He’s clearly out of his depth, searching for some explanation to make sense of the madness unfolding before me.

"I left you? Do you really think of that?"

Pumikit ako ng mariin. Baka masapak ko to.

"What else should I think? Ha Vlark Travus?"

Natahimik kaming dalawa.

"Unlock the door"

Ginawa naman niya ang iniutos ko.

"I hope this is the last time we meet"

I said with finality.

Pagtapak ng mga paa ko sa labas ng kotse niya, doon ko lang napagtanto na mabilis at masakit ang pintig ng puso ko.

Akala ko ay magiging kalmado ako kapag nakita ko na siya. I thought I'm ready to see him but I was wrong.

Moving on is like trying to leave a maze you’ve been lost in for years; the path forward is unclear, and every step feels like you’re still stuck in the same place.

I'm still fucking stuck.

Sa di kalayuan , I saw Fonso looking at me . Mabilis na lumapit ako sakanya ng mapansing wala siya sa mood.

"Oh? Anong nangyari?"

"Closure"

Napalunok naman ako sa narinig.

"C-closure? So that's means"

"Yeah, let's go"

Tiningnan ko ang kotseng nilabasan ko kanina. I saw Annica standing at the side of the car looking at us as well.

I didn't greet her.

Iniiwas ko ang aking mata at pumasok sa loob ng kotse ni Fonso.

"I'll be staying in Manila for months. Anong plano mo?"

Tanong niya sa isang mababang boses.

"Tell your father, I'll resign Fonso "

I glanced at him, knowing the decision was weighing heavily on me. It wasn’t easy, but I was aware of the responsibilities I had to face once I got home.
