The rage in his body was truly relentless and he had never felt so much of it before. He hated her with every bone in his body, and a few weeks later, he was facing so many difficulties in his life. After the incident at his home, he had 4 more blood clots. The doctors had been shotgunning him for tests and yet nothing seemed to work, and once again, he hated being a patient.
"What are you doing out of bed, Dr. Shepherd?" A nurse asks as she walks to him.
"Please leave me alone, Sandra." He said as he held onto his IV.
"Dr. Shepherd, please." Her voice echoed in the hallway, making him turn around.
"I don't have anything to say to you." He said, clenching his jaw.She took over for Sandra's shift and he kept limping around the hallways. She came over to him and placed a hand on his back, making him flinch. She moved her hands back and instead grabbed a towel, raising it to his forehead and wiping beads of sweat off his skin.
"Where are you going, Derek?" She asked, "It's the middle of the night."
"Don't call me that." He said as he took another trembling step. She nodded and walked with him and his breath shuddered with every step he took. He let her walk with him, patting his dripping forehead."The therapist told me you're not talking to her." She said as they got in an elevator. They went to the roof and she watched him breathe with ease. His back straightened and he took a deep breath as she placed a hand on the small of his back. He felt his heart start racing, and yet he finally felt free. He looked at the stars and his lungs filled with fresh air.
"Will you go back down?" She asked after a while, pulling her hand away.
"How's your boyfriend?" He asked, looking at her for a while smiling.
She was quiet for a while, studying the expression on his face, trying to figure out if he was serious or just troubled."He's good. We're good." She said softly.
She helped him come back down to the room and she tucked him in before he closed his eyes, shifting in a separate direction. He bit his lip from saying anything as he felt her hand on his shoulder. It was nice and warm, and he felt the tears burn his eyes.
"Leave, please." He said, his voice hard and distinct in the room.
"Talk to Dr. Wyatt, Derek. She said, before he felt the warmth of her leave his skin.
______When she got home, she smiled as Finn was curled into her bed, asleep. She peeled off most of her clothes and slid into bed with him. She kissed his cheek, making him wake up.
"Hey." She smiled softly as his eyes opened.
"Hey." He wrapped his arms around her.
"Long day?" She asked as he nodded, "Yeah, me too."
"My dad wants to meet you." He said softly.
"Your dad, the alcoholic?" She asked.
"He got off the couch and met someone." He said.
"And they want to meet me?" She asked.
"Yeah, next week for dinner." Finn nodded.
"Finn, I'm not sure." She said hesitantly.
"Not sure about what?" He mumbled into her ear.
"I don't think I'm ready to move that fast." She said.
"Alright, we can talk about it later." He nodded.
"Thanks." She smiled. He kissed her shoulder and she shifted uncomfortably as she felt him begin to harden. He bit her ear playfully.
"I'm actually not in the mood right now." She whispered but it didn't get heard as his hand slipped into her underwear. She laughed nervously and turned to protest but her lips were covered by hers in seconds. She was naked beneath him and he grabbed a condom, never breaking their kiss, and her hands tightened on his muscles, as she writhed. He pulled it on, and she tried to move from his grip and turned around.
"This is new." He chuckled, kissing her neck before he slid into her. She winced as he groaned. She was living a nightmare and she closed her eyes as tears filled her eyes. A thick pit formed in her stomach as he pushed into her.
