Chapter 8

"...What if I kiss you?"

Jeongin was left in surprise. His smile slightly fell at Chan's words as they hung in the air and silence filled the room almost immediately.

"W-What?" Jeongin looked into his eyes. "Why me though?"

"You did say that I should kiss somebody, so I can find out how I feel afterwards."

"B-But I didn't mean me." Jeongin tried to chuckle off the weird feeling off his shoulders.

To be honest, Chan did wanna kiss him. Like REALLY bad. But he knows that he can't do that.

Well- not until Jeongin gives consent.

"So who am I supposed to test it on?" Chan pouted sadly.

Jeongin was shocked by Chan's cute demeanor. "Well... I-I don't know..." His eyes kept slipping down to Chan's lips nearly every second.

Chan sat up straight again and just sighed. "Fine."

Jeongin looked away from Chan's side features as they both stared at the wall, and the room fell silent.

'Calm down, dear heart...,' Chan thought.

'What if I agree... Maybe I should- no! He's your boss, not your friend! Shut up, Jeongin!' His thoughts were running crazy. 'Why am I thinking so much about this? He just wants to test... He's right to ask me. I'm the one who offered... basically.'

"Fine..." Jeongin finally spoke up after a minute that felt like an eternity.

"What?" Chan's head turned to face Jeongin. Their eyes locked.

"I'm saying you can... test on me."

"Are you sure?" Chan questioned.

"You gonna do this or not?"

"Okay, if you say so..." Chan leaned in closer, now leaving little to no space between their faces.

Jeongin's heart suddenly started racing. He hasn't kissed anyone on the lips in FOUR years. Chan's heart was beating just as fast as Jeongin's.

"Are you sure?" Chan questioned once again, knowing how sensitive Jeongin is.

Looking into his eyes, Jeongin nodded.The space between them soon closed into a gentle soft kiss that lasted for five seconds, but to Chan it felt like a lifetime.

As they pulled away, Jeongin felt lost. Not knowing how to feel as his mind felt blank the whole time. Except for one thought, 'How are his lips so soft?'

Chan, on the other hand, was feeling like he was on cloud nine.

"H... H-How do you feel?" Jeongin finally asked after staring into Chan's eyes for a while.

He just gently smiled, knowing exactly how he felt, and replied, "I definitely feel different ..."

Soon, they heard the door unlock, then they pretend like nothing had happened the whole time as it opened.

Felix appeared behind the door with a smile. "Hey, guys. I hope you both got some time to hang?"

"Yeah", Jeongin replied with a smile. "We're friends now... right?"

"Yeah, definitely."

"Then, come on. Let's go and eat." Felix led the way as the other two walked behind him.

*Later that day...*

Chan went out for some business meetings earlier after mid-morning breakfast.

But the matter of the kiss still lingered on Jeongin's mind. He sat in his room, just staring at the ceiling.

He remembers his eyes meeting Chan's, the way he kissed him softly, and that question he'd asked himself, 'How are his lips so soft?'

His heart has been tripping since then.

"What's going on?" he asked himself. "Why am I feeling like this? It was just a simple kiss, nothing much."

After a few minutes, he sat up straight and sighed. "There's no point in thinking about what's happened already."

Then he went out of the room, feeling bored and sad about the fact that his boss, Chan, wouldn't let him do any work because of his injured hand. "Stupid hand. Now I can't work because of you."

He spent the rest of the day hanging out with Felix, since Hyunjin was out.

(A/n: btw, Hyunjin is a model according to the story plot, so he went out for a photo shoot...)

*~in the evening~*

Everybody was eating dinner peacefully at the dinner table.

Chan's day was great so far: business thriving successfully, eating delicious food and he got to kiss his crush today! Who wouldn't be happy?

They chatted throughout their mealtime and shared a few good laughs.

"Oh, Hyun. Do you remember Yoona?" Felix randomly asked Hyunjin, his facial expression showing sadness.

"Yeah, how's she doing?"

"I have bad news..."

Tbh, I didn't know what to write because I remember editing this chapter of the book in my notebook... Then I lost it, but then I found it again!
