It was time to return back to South Korea. Chan, Jeongin and Hwayoung boarded the jet during late morning and arrived in Seoul in the evening.
Chan decided to drop Jeongin off at his house personally because he wanted to have a talk with Mrs Yang directly.
The second they arrived at the door step, the woman pulled her son into a tight hug.
"Eomma!" Jeongin whined.
"I missed you so much! The house felt so empty without you!"
"I missed you too."
Mrs Yang then pulled back just to look at the bandage on Jeongin's forehead.
At some point it began to feel like she was ignoring the man behind her son. "Let's get you inside, yeah?"
At that moment, Jeongin took hold of Chan's hand as they quickly stepped into the mansion.
Mrs Yang's eyes twitched slightly at the sight but she kept quiet.
"Let's go and eat. Come on."
Chan soon stopped dead in his tracks which ultimately made Jeongin stop and looked at him. "Channie? What happened?"
And yes, he calls him 'Channie' now...
"I need to talk to your mother."
"You can talk to her later, just come on."
"It's really important that I talk to her alone. Right now... Okay?"
Jeongin sighed. "Okay."
Chan kissed his cheek before walking back in the opposite direction.
Mrs Yang was already approaching him with a look of death fiercely lurking in her eyes.
They both stopped in the middle of the corridor, facing each other as if this was some sort of battlefield.
Within a second, Chan was quickly pinned against a wall with a dagger to his throat.
"Where the fuck were you when Jeongin got injured?" The woman growled in his face.
"I already told you, he went out shopping alone and the attack happened unexpectedly."
"And you thought it would be a good idea to let him go out on his own?"
She pressed the blade against his skin, clearly threatening to cut his head off.
"I'm sorry."
"Sorry's not gonna cut it, Bang Chan. I gave you his responsibility for just a single week and shit's already going on in that time. I know what you wanted to ask me right now. But let me tell you, it's not happening. Got it?"
Chan's hopes crashed with a pang of disappointment in his heart.
"Eomma?!" Jeongin soon came to view. "What are you doing??!" Jeongin quick pulled his mother away and looked at her in utter horror. Then he quickly tended to Chan who stood there breathless. "Channie, are you okay?" He asked in distress.
"I'm fine, I'm fine", Chan tried to reassure him.
"Are you sure-"
"It's alright, trust me."
That's when Jeongin turned to look at his mother in rage. "What the hell was that all about?!"
"Jeongin, you're not dating him and my word is final."
"What- What do you mean?"
"He was going to ask for permission to be your boyfriend. But I'm not letting any of this happen."
