Trigger warning: Violence and blood.

*3 months later...*

It's been quite a lovely year so far and there haven't been any signs of trouble lately.

Felix and Hyunjin's wedding was scheduled for the middle of the summer season, so this would give them plenty of time to prepare everything.

Chan and Jeongin's relationship just keeps blossoming - as it should.

It was the middle of the week and things could not get any busier.

Jeongin had been promoted to Chief of Accounting, so he was head of the accounting department. He was even given a new office, which - not surprisingly - was closer to Chan's office.

The young 26-year-old man had a lot on his plate: files to audit, presentations to prepare for, documents that needed verification, and so much more.

He hasn't even had enough time to be with Chan that much since the beginning of May.

His eyesight has also seemed to become slightly weaker for some apparent reason, so he had to use reading glasses sometimes when reading documents.

With the pair of glasses that stayed on the bridge of his nose, he took a sip from his coffee as he read through the lines of words on his laptop.

His hair had turned back to its natural brown colour, but he was planning on doing another hair makeover soon.

Then, there was a knock on his door.

"Come in," he replied without even glancing away from his laptop.

Hwayoung walked through the door with her usual professional strides. "Mr Yang, the official board meeting is about to begin in twenty minutes. Mr Bahng would like to see you first moment before that."

"Alright. Thank you."

Hwayoung bowed before leaving. She always insists on keeping professionalism when at work no matter what.

Jeongin stood up and closed his laptop. He walked out if his office and headed straight towards the boss man's domain.

He knocked on the door before going in, only to find Chan sitting in his usual place.

"My love!" He instantly smiled as he saw his lover approach him.

"Hey, Channie." Jeongin walked towards his desk. "You called?"

"I just needed a hug," Chan pouted with open arms.

"Seriously?" Jeongin shook his head in disapproval.

"Please, Innie. Just a hug."

Jeongin sighed, but he wasn't refusing or hesitating. He went behind him and leaned down, wrapping his arms around Chan in a back hug.

"Not like that," Chan pouted.

Jeongin knew exactly how he wanted to be hugged. So he stood in front of him before he was gently tugged onto his lap. Chan's arms instantly wrapped right his waist as he pulled him closer.

"Much better," he smiled.

"You know, you've been getting a bit too irritable lately," Jeongin poked his cheek lightly.

"And yet, you still love me."

"Mmmmh... Debatable."

Chan gasped dramatically with a little laugh. He knew he was only joking, and yet there was a small sense of fear inside of him; just the mere thought of losing Jeongin.
