Jade's POV

"My female is nice and is asking to try something that can make your life easier. If you are unwilling I'm sure we can ask another male that will be more willing and grateful that a female cares enough to even try to help."

Cato talked with so much certainty and confidence, even I believed him right then and there.

The male that had been talking with us since the beginning looked at the other guy with wide eyes, as if he couldn't believe what the other male had said.

"I'm sorry I'm sure he does not mean to offend your female. We are just not used to a female taking time to consider how to make our lives better"

He spoke so quickly as if trying to salvage the situation, but as soon as he finished speaking the other male smacked him in the head.

"Now who is talking without thinking. You will lose your horns if Maya hears you."

The other male turned red, or as red as he could turn considering all the sunburned that already covered his skin.

"Why would Maya hear anything I say. She is too busy to worry about such small things as what l have to say or think"

At that my heart hurt, it sounded awful but was more than likely true. Females did not concern with them if it didn't amuse them or benefit them.

The last thing I need though is for them to get distracted with that conversation that will go nowhere.

This was important and especially with how hot it is out here.

"So will you allow us to try this invention in your piece of farmland?"
 
My sexy wolf spoke before I could even try to intervene.

Cato is always as direct and to the point when he is in his leader mode. He looks incredibly sexy.

"Only if you can assure us this will not damage our plants; we have worked very hard to get them this far. Our female would surely abandon us if we were to ruin even a piece of the crops."

"This will not harm any of the little sprouts, instead it will protect them from all the birds that are trying to eat them"

I tried to make my voice as reassuring as I could, hopefully that gives them some trust for now.
Once they see how effective this really is, I'm sure they will not have any issues with us doing this.

The males looked at each other then at us and each gave a decisive nod.

I breathed a sigh of relief, this meant wasting less time trying to convince others of trying this.

"Let me handle this my love, you go with Tarak. He can keep you cool while I do this"

The sheep males looked at my sexy wolf as if he was crazy for sending me to another of my mates.

Well I guess our family was unique, my men knew I loved them all just how they all love me.

"Ok love"

I gave him a "sweet" kiss with full tongue and gave one of his butt cheeks a squeeze just because I can.

Then I walked all innocent to my other males that were looking at me with a little smile on their faces.

Cato had been left there standing just staring after me.

At least until he snapped out of it and went with the sheep male to place the net how I had roughly explained it to him.

There were small birds at different areas all trying to eat the small sprouts and males everywhere were doing their best to shoo them away without stepping on the plants.

It's no wonder farming is ruthless and hard in this world, they have not evolved in the slightest.

It's a wonder how they manage to do it anyway.

I get to Tarak's arms and sigh at how fresh he feels out here, it's like a cold cup of water in the burning sun.

"Let's go to the shade if you feel hot  my white beauty, remember you are  with cubs and have to take extra care of yourself"

I hesitate but then nod, there is no use in all of us just standing in the sun.

Just like that we all started walking to where the trees are at. Once we get to the shade I see Harvey is restless just staring at the males weak and scrawny appearance.

"It's ok love, we will try to help them as much as we can. But we need to help in what is causing the issue, if not they will just continue to suffer"

He nodded but didn't stop looking at them.

"I always knew farming rice was hard work, and I've travelled to many tribes. But I had never seen males that looked this weak."

"It also has to do with them being prey beasts Harvey. Since they do not eat meat they are not as strong even without the hard labor"

Once Winston said that is like realization hit Harvey and I. It actually makes sense but doesn't stop being kinda sad.

I turn to look at Cato and see how they are finished putting the net and are walking away. The males still look hesitant but not as worried as before, that's a good sign I guess.

Maybe we can make a scare crow, that might work right??

I shake my head, one thing at a time Jade, you walk before you run.

I feel Tarak give me a little squeeze then kiss my neck.

"Relax my white beauty, everything is ok. You are making me want to eat those males that are not yours but you won't stop looking at."

I turn to Tarak shocked. What did he just say.

" they are mated my white beauty and they would not benefit you in any way regardless. If you are not satisfied yet I'm sure we can fix that."

He said that all with a straight face while one of his hands wondered down below, touching me with his cool fingers making me shiver.

Winston and Harvey shifted and made a "cover" around us and Tarak removed my undies.

I wanted to speak, say something but all this was completely unexpected but not at all unwelcome.
