He took a few moments to measure the baby, writing down the measurements quickly on a notepad nearby. He set the pen down after he finished this and looked back at my stomach, continuing to run the ultrasound probe across my skin gently.

"Everything still seems healthy with the baby. Nothing seems out of the ordinary, you and the little one both seem to be as healthy as can be so far," he said gently, continuing to look at the ultrasound screen.

He continued to move the probe gently across my skin, continuing to check on the baby. "Heartbeat is good, lungs are developing, everything seems to be right on track," he mumbled as he scanned over the ultrasound screen.

After a few moments of this, he removed the probe from my skin and set it back down on the table nearby. He grabbed some paper towels and started to wipe the gel off my skin gently. "Baby is healthy and developing well. No signs of any issues whatsoever," he said to me as he finished wiping off the gel from my skin.

Okay, thank you, doctor," I said gently.

The doctor nodded and finished cleaning my skin, then tossed the paper towel he used in a trash bin nearby. "No worries, dear. Everything looks perfect with you and the little one. You're both in good health so far." he mumbled, looking at me gently.

"You know Reign, very closely. Do you think he would've forgotten the appointment?" I asked him gently.

The doctor sighed as I asked this question to him, knowing my husband pretty well. "Honestly, I can see it. You know Reign well yourself, the man forgets a lot of things. He's easily distracted and often forgets things." he said to me gently, a sympathetic look in his eyes.

"He wouldn't intentionally forget something as important as an appointment, dear, I can assure you of that. The man is a bit scatterbrained, that's all. I'm sure he had a thousand things on his mind and just simply forgot," he said to me honestly.

The doctor watched me as I collected my belongings and prepared to leave, he could tell I was feeling upset. "Please don't feel so sad about it, dear. I'm sure Reign felt terrible when he realized he had forgotten. He loves you, I know that much," he said to me gently.

After moments of standing outside the building and looking at my phone, one of the security who worked for Reign came over to me and spoke up. "Mrs. Ramirez? What are you doing standing out here by yourself?" he questioned gently.

"Just about to call you," I said gently.

The security smiled a small smile at my words, and he continued to speak. "No need to call me. What are you doing out here alone? You're lucky I found you, someone could easily kidnap you." He said to me gently, a tone of concern in his voice.

"Just went to my appointment," I replied to him.

He looked at me and nodded in understanding. "Ah, I see. So I assume Mr. Ramirez forgot about the appointment and wasn't here?" He questioned me in a gentle tone.

The security opened the car door for you as you started to walk over to it, and he spoke again. "So I take it Mr. Ramirez still doesn't know he missed the appointment?" he questioned me as he opened the door and allowed me to get inside the car.

"I don't want to talk about it, can you take me to Azar's place. I need to pick up the boys,".

The security nodded once again, understanding that I didn't want to discuss the matter further with him. "Of course, anything you say," he mumbled, gently closing the door and walking around to get into the driver's seat.

The security guard's car pulled up as I walked to see Azar playing outside with my sons "Lion, Levi come on, go to Josh's car," they immediately got up to go to the security guard's car. I was clearly not in the mood.

Azar sat back down and watched as the kids went with the security guard before looking back at me. "Hey, is something wrong?"

"Can everyone stop asking me that, I am fine," I said before I took a deep breath. He put up his hands as if he was surrendering. "Alright, alright, okay take it easy. I'm sorry, I was just making sure you're okay. You just seem a little stressed out."

He looked at me with a concerned expression. "You sure you're okay? You're not going to pass out on me are you?"

"Just really irritated," I started to get upset.

He stood up and walked over closer to me. "You sure you're not feeling faint or something?" He placed his hands gently on my upper arms to steady me. "Because you look a little pale..."

I started to more upset as I looked at the security guard's car "Josh can you take them to Reign's father's place for now," I asked.

Azar looked at me with a concerned expression and my eyes widened. I was usually very calm and well-composed, but now I looked like I was going to burst. "What's wrong, Reina?"

"Reign didn't come to the appointment, I think he is hurt," I started to cry.

Azar wrapped his arms around me in an attempt to comfort me. "Whoa whoa, hey hey hey. Slow down. Tell me what happened. Breathe, take a deep breath for me."

I kept crying "He didn't show up, I told him the appointment time twice, I'm scared,".

Azar held me tighter as I cried. "Don't cry. It's okay. Just breathe. He's probably fine. There could have been a last-minute work thing or something, I'm sure he's okay. You want me to call him?" I nodded as I kept crying.

"Alright alright, stay right here. I'll call him." He said as he pulled out his phone and scrolled through his contacts until he reached Reign. He pressed the call button and put the phone to his ear.

As the phone rang he rubbed my back in an attempt to be reassuring. After a few rings the call picked up. "Reign?" Azar said into the phone as he looked at me.
