Morning in Seoul

The morning sun cast its first light over Kim Taehyung's penthouse, creating a stark contrast between the serene exterior and the storm brewing inside. The penthouse's minimalist design and sweeping city views spoke to Taehyung's success, but the tension in the room was palpable.

Taehyung sat behind his desk, his sharp eyes scanning financial reports with a cold, calculating focus. His normally pristine environment was now a battleground of economic distress. The company's stock had taken a nosedive, and the blame rested on a personal matter—his father's recent marriage. The situation was far from ideal, and Taehyung's control over the company was being tested like never before.

Taehyung: (Muttering under his breath) "This is a disaster. We need immediate action."

His phone rang incessantly with updates and inquiries. Each call was met with curt, impersonal responses, his demeanor as rigid as the financial data he reviewed. The pressure was immense, and Taehyung's cold, business-like approach was his only defense against the chaos threatening his empire.

Taehyung: (To his assistant) "I want a full briefing on the investors' concerns by this afternoon. We need a plan to stabilize the stock."

As the day progressed, Taehyung's frustration grew. He was a man used to having everything under control, and the current crisis was chipping away at his composure. The weight of his father's decisions and the impending fallout from the stock drop loomed over him, a constant reminder of the unstable ground he was standing on.

Across the World

In her office in Russia, Anastasia Quinn was immersed in her routine. The day was unremarkable until she noticed a package on her desk—one she didn't remember ordering. It was plain, unmarked, and bore no return address. The package's simplicity contrasted sharply with the anticipation it sparked in her.

Anastasia carefully unwrapped the package. Inside, she found a beautifully bound book and a small, nondescript USB drive. The book, titled Unpublished Thoughts, was unmistakably Ji-ah's—her childhood friend who had always dreamed of becoming a published author. The title sent a shiver down Anastasia's spine, but she was oblivious to the significance of Ji-ah's death.

Next to the book was a flight ticket to Seoul, with no explanation or accompanying note. The ticket felt out of place, adding an unsettling layer to the already mysterious package. Anastasia's heart raced with a mix of curiosity and apprehension.

Anastasia: (Whispering) "What is all this about? Why would someone send me this now?"

She flipped through the book, her eyes skimming over passages that seemed intensely personal and revealing. The prose was raw and emotional, a stark contrast to the polished image Ji-ah had presented to the world. The book hinted at secrets and unresolved feelings, but without the context of Ji-ah's death, its true meaning was lost on her.
