"Ohhh!" I said nodding my head in understanding.

Actually, that makes sense! That will also explain why brother doesn't want to move rank and become the Captain instead of Papa!

Papa had  tried all he could to get him to agree but to no avail!

Wait! I just realised something more shocking!

"I told you to tell her now look at how dumbfounded she looks!"

Lillian argued when she saw the look of wonder on me.

"OK, I'm sorry! I should have told her beforehand!"

Brother Roy said, trying to avoid anymore nagging from Lillian.

"Hold up! Hold up! Hold up! There's something more important here!"

I exclaimed making them turn their attention to me.

"What's the matter Lor?!" Brother Roy asked.

With a strange expression on my face, I turned around to look at Austin as we were all seated and asked funnily.

"You can talk?! I mean, I know you could talk but, you can talk?!"

"Aya! Lorry! I'm so sorry please forgive me for not telling you! I just thought that these two would have told you all ready!" Lillian said sadly.

I can see that she truly thought so. If I remember correctly, they are times when she says things relating to them that I couldn't comprehend.

"I'm sorry Lor, I should have told you before." Brother Roy apologised sincerely.

I kept on staring at Austin. His was more shocking to me. I mean, why won't it!

Sensing my gaze, he tried to explain.

"I never said I couldn't talk and I didn't really try to hide the fact. People just imagined it that way!"

"Hah!" I scoffed and looked at him.

"They was nothing wrong with you and you made me think you lost your voice! You ignored me and made me think I caused it all!"

I said the last part with my voice lowered  but I think he heard me.

"Lorry---!" He started off but I cut him through.

"Why are we all gathered here?!" I asked Lillian directly.

Seeing that I was no longer in the mood for plays and games, Lillian explained seriously.

...

"The kingdom of Bali and our Kingdom, Riels are currently facing an internal strife with each other.

Some Bali soldiers were seen in the crystal mine that was located closest to them.

They King denied it of course, but because of this the strife started. Dad didn't want things to escalate so he has been trying to solve this amicably and investigating the matter as well.

We can't investigate thoroughly because of the fact that the kingdom of Bali might find offence with it and dad also doesn't want to cause any war because of this.

At the same time, we can't leave things as the are especially with the chance of our crystals being stolen.

Because of the piece of arrow Aaron brought back from your attack, we were able to narrow down the search to the Dukedoms!"

Lillian said as she placed the part of the arrow that wasn't blown off on the table.

"This either proves that the King really isn't aware of it or its part of their trick to deviate our attention.

Whichever one it is, we need to investigate. The King of Bali has agreed to let us investigate as long as we don't do anything rash.

I have gotten permission from Dad. A selected number of people will be sent out to investigate.

The King of Bali is putting his trust in us by giving us a chance to clear things up in other to prevent any form of doubt from arising.

He also said he will help us with other help. As long as we don't do anything that looks suspicious, he is willing to help."

"So these people are supposed to find out what is actually going on, right?" I asked her to which she nodded.

This is quite troublesome! If the king truly is involved, it can be a way of declaring war with our kingdom if he isn't, it means there's someone else behind it.

Either way this isn't good. We just has a war and we haven't settled things yet. Our resources are not much. Having a war at this critical moment will be bad for us.

...

"So who are these selected number of people?!" I asked her.
