She stared at me with narrowed eyes, waiting for me to talk.
"Sheesh!" I sighed, "you should really try this macaroons." I said, making her glare at me. What? It was getting tense here, hahaha.
"OK, I'll let it slide this time." She said, with a glare.
"Thank you, Lillian!" I smiled at her to which she smiled back. I know if I tell her about what happened she will end up causing a scene. I love her, but I don't want any drama right now.
Lillian got up from her chair, "it's time to get up from this boring place." She held my arm and forcefully dragged me off my chair.
"Since Father made you my brothers royal Bodyguard, come let's go and meet him."
"What! Nooooo!" But my rejection was futile as I was dragged all the way to the Royal families private lounge room.
I had to keep quiet less I seem like a crazy person to the surrounding guards before I even start my work at the Palace.
You see, the knights are divided into three main categories.
The Royal Guards, which are in charge of the Palace security.
The Royal Knights, they are in charge of protecting the kingdom and participating in wars,...
And lastly but not the least, the Dark knights, like the name says, they are knights that work in the dark, nobody knows who they are except the royal family.
Either way, each of this categories are further divided into subdivisions. It will be to time exhausting to talk about it.
At the end you might not even understand it, even I don't get it much.
'Wait!' I paused, realisation drawing upon me.
'Who I'm I even talking to?' I stood still, confused.
"Walk fast!" Lillian shouted at me excitedly while dragging me with more force, without turning back.
'Strange! I need to find someone to talk to more before I end up turning loco!'
...
"Brother! I'm here to introduce you to your new Bodyguard!" She said, badging into the room like no one's business.
From the side I noticed that the was no one around apart from the Prince and someone that looks to be his assistant.
It looks like the King and Queen are not around. That certainly explains her brazenness.
Prince Austin looked up from the file he was currently looking through and gave his sister a warm smile.
I looked away quickly when our eyes where about to meet. It will be a lie if I said that Prince Austin isn't handsome but I'm not gonna accept it openly.
Prince Austin and Lillian really are identical twins after all. The both have the same eye colour and look alike too. If Lillian was a boy or Prince Austin a girl, it would have been quite hard to differentiate between them.
Wait! What I'm I doing! I am Lorry Night! I do not act bashful in front of people even if I do feel so often. And most especially, NOT IN FRONT OF AUSTIN!!
I looked back straight at him but his smile looked faded? What happened? I didn't do anything.
Before I could understand what was going on, he was all ready looking at his sister.
...
"Princess Lillian, it's been a while." The other person in the room that was standing beside the Prince said.
"Yeap, it has surely been, Aaron." Princess Lillian replied with a smile.
"Ah! As I was saying. Brother, Aaron, this is Lorry. Dad assigned her to be your personal Bodyguard. Bro, your so lucky. I had been begging dad to assign her to me since way long ago!" Lillian pouted clinging on to my arms.
Sheesh! This was not how I wanted my first day on the job to be. 'Sob.'
"Hahaha! Princess Lillian, we all ready know about that." Aaron said tiredly with a smile. This doesn't seem to be the first time it is happening.
"Good evening Prince Austin, Mr Aaron. I'm Lorry Night. I've been assigned as your Bodyguard by the King. Happy to be here." I said professionally while bowing a little. Hope it doesn't sound mechanically and deprived of emotions!
"Oh! No need for that! You should get up, Miss Lorry. We are happy to work with you too. And you can just call me Aaron please. Since we will be working together alot from now on. No need for formalities." Aaron said quickly after looking at the Prince. I couldn't see him, the Prince, though.
"Ok, thank you Aaron. You can call me Lorry too. What's my first order of business, Prince." I asked but he didn't even so much as glanced at me and directly looked at Aaron and nodded at him. What the... dude!
"Lorry, you can go back and enjoy the gathering for now. I'll show you around the castle the next time you come and tell you about your responsibility here." Aaron said in a gentle manner.
"OK, thank you Prince, Aaron." I left the place after dragging Lillian with me, whom was now distracted by the attractive gold fishes in the bowl.. I don't think she's in this world anymore.
Well that was some first meeting. Anyway, I can't waste time thinking about that right now, after all, we still have a long night ahead of us.
Aish! I better buckle myself up now. I can't always avoid them. 'Oh who am I kidding, I've never run away from someone looking for my trouble!' I smiled thinking that.
