(Liam's POV)

I was in the living room when Kayla came downstairs. "The boys back yet?" She asked. I shake my head.

"No, they should be-" I stop as I looked at her. She looked good in anything she wore. But the one she had on she looked beautiful in. Kayla looked up from her phone and I played myself from my moment of pausing and admiring. "They should be back any minute." I finished.

Kayla nodded and grinned at me. "Are you okay?" She asked chuckling. I nod but turn away so I wouldn't give away myself. She giggled again. "Okay!" She said, not really believing me. She walked to the love seat and sat down.

"You sure you wanna wear that sweater?" I asked her. It was warm enough that she didn't have to wear a sweater. Kayla nodded.

"Yeah. I'll be fine." I shrug.

"Okay," I said. She then stood up and sat next to me.

"I was gonna tell you all but I can't wait," she said. "This was the last one I had written out. I called it Half a Heart." She said. She handed me her phone and I played the song. I smile like I always do when I hear her voice. Her voice matched her face. Beautiful.

"How have we not found you sooner?" I asked. Kayla laughed and took the phone back as it ended. She put her arm on my shoulder.

"I wonder the same thing." She said, smiling. I smiled back at her and couldn't help myself. Slowly moving forward, she leaned into me slowly before we heard a honk outside the house.

We both jumped and Kayla cleared her throat. "Sorry," I said. "Well, let's go." I stand up with Kayla and we turn our separate ways around the couch. As I went to the hallway, Kayla stopped me.

"Liam," She said. I turned and she walked to me, grabbing my face and planting her lips to mine. Moving back a few seconds later, she smiled at me. "I could tell you wanted it. But I wanted it to." She admitted. I smiled at her and grabbed her hand. Why can't I just tell her yet?!?! UGHHHH!

We walked down the hall and through the door. I let go of her hand, letting her walk to the car as I locked the house up. After I did, I walked down the sidewalk and out of the gate, closing it behind me, and got in the car behind Kayla.

     "What building is it?"

"West 22," Kayla told Louis and he drove off. I sat in the back with Kayla as Zayn and Niall were in the middle leaving Louis and Harry upfront. The guys gave me an update from the studio before turning the radio on.

Kayla had been a bit quiet since we got in the car. "You okay?" I whispered in her ear as Chasing Cars came onto the radio. She nodded.

"Yeah. It's just," she wipes her eyelid, hiding the tear that tried to escape. "This is my favorite song. The first time I heard it was when I remembered I got split from my brother." She whispered back. I turn her face and smile at her and she gives me a soft smile.

"It's alright, love! You'll find him. I promise." She smiles at me and turns back out the window and hums along with the song before singing the chorus like the rest of us.

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

The song was coming to an end and I could tell Kayla was trying to fight the rest of her tears. I looked at her hand that was in her lap. I took my hand and placed it into hers. Intertwining her fingers with mine, she tightened the grip to tell me she was alright. I rubbed her hand with my thumb and looked forward again, as the song finished.
