"Cause it's not just a figure of speech
You got me down on my knees
It's getting harder to breathe out."

RAINA
a month later

It is been hell of a month. December was always a lazy month for me as I usually spent my days in bed but this year, it was anything but free.

Responsibilities do come with more responsibilities because other than the coronation function, we had to attend various other events from simple inaugurations to orphanages to old age homes to various other societies the royal family was a part of.

I didn't even have the power yet I was responsible for all this stuff.

Today felt like a free day as it was 31st December when Ridh came and dropped yet another bomb on me.

"Bhabhi!! We have a party to go to!" She exclaimed excitedly plopping on the bed and I bounced straight in shock and denial.

"You are kidding me."

"I am not. Today's New year's eve and our own company has organised a New Year Party so I was here to ask you- which one?" She quickly stood up laying down two dresses infront of me and unwillingly, I pointed at the dress her eyes sparkled at.

"Green one, it is!" She exclaimed and I snickered at her excitement. She went away but I instantly remembered the question I had in mind.

"Where's your bhaiya?" I asked and she turned teasingly.

"Missing my dear brother, bhabhi?"

"Yes." I truthfully replied and her smirk grew into a grin as she pointed out.

"In the living room. He is coming!" She answered and went away in her room.

Two months has it been to my marriage well, more like 2.5 and Ruhaan's personality atleast towards me has caused me a great fortune. He is the same cold human to others but with me, he is this calm, patient and my cheeks flush as I say lovely mam.

I like him. A lot actually. I really like him. It is like I don't need a reason to be happy around him, his lone presence will make me happy.

"Raina, get ready!" He announced and I buried my face in the pillow letting out a loud growl.

"I don't want to go." I whined because my feet have given up, my body ached for rest and I am so somnolent right now that one rub on my head and I will be dead sleep for the next 24 hours.

"You don't have a choice. It is the last event of the month, c'mon, Raina." He demanded and with a jerk, he pulled me off the bed lending me to sit on my knees infront of him.

"Because this is the last day of month and I swear, this should be the last event for the next 2-3 months. I am tired." I leaned my head on his shoulder and he pulled out patting my cheeks.

"I am not promising that nor am I compromising my reputation in business just because you want sleep but I will clear your schedule for the next one week." He picked me up making me stand on my toes on the floor.

"Atleast 10 days." I warned but he raised his eyebrows in question.

"6 days."

"Accha, 9 days?" I requested and he nodded in denial.

"5 days."

"Stop it, Ruhaan! One week, it is." I came in the closet and rummaged through my dresses to find this totally eye catching one I recently got.
