it was noon when wooyoung returned to his flat.
with crowds outside all day and night, his adversaries could strike at any time, keeping wooyoung on edge. despite the chaos, it was strange but somewhat comforting that none of the action world's antagonists, including his own rivals and those of other action heroes, had harmed any of the romance world's people. this anomaly had puzzled him at first, but he had a theory. the villains appeared to have an unspoken rule: romance civilians were off-limits. perhaps they'd fallen under their spell? perhaps they were also terrified of the romance people's antics?
exhausted, all wooyoung wanted now was a nap. he trudged up the stairs and sighed with relief as he reached his door. finally, a moment of tranquillity.
however, when he opened the door to his flat, he was met with an unexpected visitor rather than the comforting silence he sought.
wooyoung, still wearing his cap, mask, and jacket, could only sigh.
"how did it go yesterday?" the girl enquired cheerfully, closing the door behind him and trailing behind his steps as he walked inside without paying her attention. "your date with san! did you have fun?"
wooyoung was even less amused to see ji-eun, who was still in her pyjamas, sitting on the floor of his living room, surrounded by beer cans as always. she gave him a strange look, as if she was demanding answers to what hwayoung was rambling about. the girl really needed an off button.
"you're here, too?" wooyoung groaned as he removed his jacket and tossed it onto the couch before falling back onto the hard surface. the ball of light in the sky, which wooyoung soon discovered was the 'sun', shone its bright glow through the window, turning everything golden. this was one of the few changes to the action world that he unexpectedly enjoyed. having some actual light in the morning was great because it made him feel much more energised and prepared to face another challenging day.
he took off his cap and mask, throwing it aside. hwayoung, who was dressed in a pink skirt and a white sweater, dashed to where he was sleeping and sat right next to him. "did he say anything about the outfit?" she clapped her hands and said, "i bet he loved it!"
wooyoung rubbed his temples. he wasn't really sure if he could get used to her chattering, but surprisingly, he had no complaints about her that would make him want to kick her out of his flat.
she'd shown up at his door yesterday morning, claiming she knew san had asked wooyoung if he could take him out on dates for every day of that week, after which she forced herself inside and compelled wooyoung to spend three hours clearing out his wardrobe and trying on different pieces.
wooyoung, who had been short on time because he was supposed to be catching another target, tried to get out of this situation (which she called a bonding session). but the girl was unrelenting. she was somehow worse than choi san, who at least temporarily listened to wooyoung's request to leave him alone.
