you we're currently backstage for smackdown watching your ex boyfriend jey, which you very much still had huge and i mean HUGE feelings for but you would never tell him that tho
you sat on the desk in adam pearces office as he was the manger and you were the assistant one so you made choices with matches, and fines and you ran it by adam for him to make it official official
you looked at the tv as you watched jey kick at his brother jimmy, it was so weird for you to see them not get along on tv since you knew how close they were off screen
but you watched as he got pushed to the back by security, and you would be lying to yourself if you said he didn't look fine as hell in black because he did. everyone knew that
"what the hell is he doing." you mumbled but it must've been loud enough for adam to hear
"something that's probably gonna get him fined" he said looking at you and you shook ur head
"no just let him off the hook please, plus he's not on smackdown he's on raw so it doesn't make sense" you said looking at him and what you got in return was a raised brow
this was nothing new to you tho, you always got looks like that from people when you defended jey because for a few months after you guys broke up, you made everyone think you hated him but the truth is, you adored him, you missed him, you felt like when you guys broke up, you lost ur light, so yeah you were gonna defend him no matter what
"fine, but the only reason im saying fine is because i know the reason why." he said looking at you and you gave him a light smile
a few minutes after your guys light conversation, all of the camera men came in and producers for when it flipped to a backstage segment or something to deal with backstage
and your whole body went cold when he walked in
"don't touch me don't touch me" he said as he pointed at the security guards that brought him back
then all of the sudden nick aldis came into camera view
"well it seems to me like we have a fine to give" he said but you didn't pay attention for a few minutes because your eyes were on jey
it honestly felt like it was just you guys in the room and knowing the camera got that, there would probably be edits of you guys out later that night
you hopped off the desk as you broke eye contact with jey before looking over at nick and adam
"no, there's no reason to, if anything nick you should be fining jimmy for all the times he attacked jey or costed him matches, but no you and your poor ass refs let it be and didn't do anything about it" you said crossing ur arms as you looked at him
feeling a smart gaze on you, you looked back to be met with jeys gaze and you could tell he was happy you were defending him
"so how about you take your ass out of this office and let him be, and your main focus should be jimmy and make him stop costing jey" you said and
nick scoffed before walking past you guys
you then left the room after him, locking eyes with jey one last time before leaving the room
